AWFUL SERVICE by this Amazon Store!

I ordered this item on January 17, 2007!!!!!
It was finally shipped on 01/25/07!! but, would you believe it, SNAIL MAIL!!!!
I received a tracking number for this on 01/26/07, but even though I went and set it up at the US Postal site to be notified of the package progress, I received no shipment progress e-mails.
And get this, it was shipped from a city in Maryland which is only about 25-30 miles away from me!!!!

When I purchased this cartridge the Amazon price was $32.00 it
has now gone up to $52.00 which is more than even Sam's Club.It
was a excellent value in the Amazon Tradition,but no more.In fact
some of the prices on Amazon are more than the HP store website.

Since my less than 4 year old HP 960C InkJet printer is discontinued (can you believe it??!!), it's hard to find a cartridge for less than $50 in a store. I've dealt w/ Amazon for numerous items & with the free s & h & the price I paid for this cartridge, I figured why go anywhere else!!
HP 78 Tri-Color Print Cartridge 2005-09-04
I use a HP Deskjet to print photos and pictures. The prints are excellent on photo papers or bright white Inkjet papers. It seems that the yellow ink always gets emptied the fastest. Also, the gray color has a blue tint that is difficult to adjust (maybe software related). The free ground delivery by UPS took only three days.
One lower price alternative to this ink cartridge is the remanufactured cartridge by Nukote available at Target or Wal-Mart (about $25). From the prints I could not tell any difference between the HP and the Nukote.

The cartridge is just fine, I use it for printing cards and like the quality of my prints, but Amazon is acting like they are giving us such a bargain. I'm disappointed by this. You can buy this same cartridge at regular price directly from the folks who make the printer for a whole whopping 70 cents more than this supposedly 20% mark down sale price. That is not a sale, it's highway robbery. Now the price for the regular sized cartridge IS a sale, it's cheaper than you can get it directly from the people who make the printer for this cartridge or any other place I've seen so far.

The Larger Ink Cartridge 2008-02-13
I am finding the larger color cartrige more difficult to purchase in local stores so Amazon is the only way. The best part is the price and shipping make soucing even more certain.
You Pay for Quality .... and you Get It 2007-07-05
I've tried refilling my own ink cartridges multiple times. Usually I can get quite a bit more life from them after a refill. However, I found unpredictable failures with refills and the resulting print quality was not a good as with the HP cartridge. My photographs on glossy paper, and my routine printing on ink-jet paper, all seem crisper and better balanced (color and contrast) with the HP brand cartridge. I've tried the remanufactured cartridges with similar results. So, now I just look for the best price on the original HP factory-fresh cartridges for my DeskJet 970.

Larger Size Has More Value 2007-03-30
This is the larger size color cartridge. Your better off getting this size so you spend less time changing ink cartridges. Never had a problem with HP ink. I tried "economy" brands and had color issues.
