Tiffen filters 2008-11-11
Tiffen has long been a name known for quality filters. Of the lower-priced filters, they are probably the best.

Lable not printed clearly? 2008-08-10
Somehow the label not printed clearly. Looks like out of paint. Wondering how they can past QC. Looks cheaply made.

Great Set Of Basic Filters 2008-06-03
This is the perfect set if you want basic, decent filters. The UV protects your lens and the polarized greatly reduces glare and makes colors pop. Highly recommended for the beginner photographer.

Nice Protective Filter 2008-05-20
I bought this for my Sony A300k's two lens. It did it's job: protect the lens from dust, finger prints and reflected some of the UV.

For the price, what more can you expect?

Tiffen Filter 55mm 2008-05-15
If you are considering purchasing this filter from Amazon make sure you check the specs of your camera for the correct size filter. The Amazon website has a recommendation for the wrong size filter to go with a Panasonic DMC-FZ8 Digital Camera. The filter looks like a quality product but unfortunately I could not use it and had to return it.

wrong size sent 2008-01-07
The quality is average, but I was never able to use because like other people who have bought product, they sent wrong size. I purchased a 55mm kit and a 62mm kit was sent

Tiffen 55mm Essentials Filter Kit 2007-11-08
I was very disappointed after I bought this product. I was unaware that the Lens Adaptor for the Panasonic DMC FZ18, the DMC LA#3, was unavailable. I feel that Amazon should have mentioned that 55mm kit was for LA#3. DMC LA#2 doesn't fit the DMC FZ18. While would Amazon sell a product that was useless? I am still waiting for Panasonic to release the dmc LA#3. Finally, I am very disappointed that Amazon did not state that Tiffen 55mm kit worked only with LA#3, which as I stated, had not been release. Tiffen 55mm Photo Essentials Filter Kit.

Does not fit Panasonic DMC-FZ50 2007-09-07
This filter shows up as a recommended accessory for the Panasonic DMC-FZ50. However, it does not fit this particular camera.

The diameter is right, 55mm. But the threads are not right. At first, I suspected that the threads-per-inch is different. But I went to a local camera store and purchased another filter, and this Tiffen filter screws in to the new filter OK. So I suspect that it's not the threads-per-inch, but maybe the threads are too tall (they have a slightly large diameter which binds against the camera).

The man at my local camera store said that Tiffen changed their packaging a long while back, and the filter that I had was in the older packaging. So perhaps this filter was made for older film cameras and not for newer digital cameras (that's him talking, not me).

Either way, this filter only screws in about 1/3 of a turn and then starts to bind. Don't buy this filter to fit a Panasonic DMC-FZ50.

Basic Filter Kit 2007-09-03
For what I paid I am quite happy. I have had the uv filter on since I got the set. I have been shooting with the polarizer with satisfaction. I shoot up alot with the sky as the background. I like them so far althought I have not yet tried out the warmer.

The filters came faster than the adapter - the shipping was quick and the buying experience was smooth.

Review: ... "Click! The No Nonsense Guide to Digital Cameras" is misnamed. It covers a lot more than just cameras. In a couple of hundred pages, it includes using a scanner and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 to rescue faded, damaged family photos, the basic guidelines to good picture taking, how to use Elements 2 to improve your digital photos, and how to print and preserve your pictures for the ages. White, the author of the bestseller "How Computers Work," knows how to pack a lot of helpful, understandable information in a brief no nonsense book.

Review: "This Camera is one of the best in its price range. It takes beautiful clear pictures and can be used right out of the box, but its worth learning all its features. The included memory holds about 20-25 pictures so I upgraded to 128mb. I reccomend getting a 128mb card and the Sony camera case. Not only is this one of the best cameras in its class it includes decent software and rechargeable batteries that are at least a 20$ value.
HIGHLY reccomend over canon, kodak, and fuji. One more thing this camera has CARL Zeiss lens (if you dont know, great lens) all the competetors have generic lens."

The fact is a camera’s megapixel rating is only a measure of how many pixels (photosensitive sites) an image sensor has….
