SEEMS TO WORK GREAT
2008-09-30
I ordered this product to be used in an older house to keep the mice out. Impossible to plug up every hole. I had used at least $30 of D-Con which worked great but was getting expensive and there was no end in site. I keep the D-Con out, still,to be sure the device is working but I have had no more signs of mice. I ordered another one for a cabin at the family farm. Of course, when winter comes the field mice look for a winter home. So far, no mice there.

In defense of this product, it's advertised to keep rodents away, and the wife was hoping for fewer spiders, so maybe we had unrealistic expectations. We still don't have rodents, but I don't think we have any fewer spiders either.

I got 2 of these for my home (a small two bedroom floor level condo) because my room-mate saw a mouse running around one day. There are two dogs in the house, so I didn't want to put down traps or poison because the dogs would get at it...
Before the products arrived, the mouse had run out the back door one day. I still put these in to try and keep any pests from coming back. I don't know if they work on mice because the mouse had already left, but this does not work on other pests (i.e. bugs, spiders, roaches, or anything like that)...
I still leave them because I don't want any mice to come back though.
This is in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu.
No real results

We purchased this item in March and we have yet to see any results. Living in NYC apartments, I know pests can be a problem but after more than a month we were hoping for an improvement, at least. None. Not the most expensive product but certainly a waste of money if it doesn't do the job.
good for one room

we are in a first floor 1920s manhattan apartment. Mice are inevitable. We have this in our kitchen, and haven't seen any trace of mice in there, although we still have at least one on the apartment.

After 20 years in an old brownstone, we are just now experiencing an onslaught of mice! Professional exterminators were a waste of time and money. We purchased the PestChaser and have not seen a sign of a mouse! Works like a charm... and we can sleep at night without having to listen to critters scratching! Thanks for making this product.

Ultrasonic pest repellers are a waste of money. While pests can hear ultrasounds that humans can't, even if initially frightened by these sounds, rodents will always realize the sounds aren't connected to any form of danger and will return to their feeding and nesting areas.
Query their effectiveness on Yahoo! or Google and read for yourself.
And lastly, your pets CAN hear ultrasound as well, yet they remain largely unaffected by these devices. Consider that.
Rat Zapper

All Rodents to me are Rats. When I plugged this in the wall the first day the little rodents started moving around. I was very please because they got out of my room. I did buy a Rat Zapper for every Room in my house.
This Works!!!!!

I was skeptical, as we live on the ground floor in Hawaii which is bug central. It took a few days, but since installing in my kitchen, I haven't seen a single mouse, cockroach, or ant. They are all gone throughout the whole house. It's almost unbelievable, but true. I recommend this to anyone. It honestly works! My only critique would be, they wanted to charge $25 to ship to Hawaii which is ridiculous.
