a very good phone--especially at this price !!! 2008-04-20
I recently bought this phone after several two more expensive models failed; his telephone by AT&T and Lucent works better than the other phones I bought when I had to get a new phone for my home. The construction of this telephone reflects great engineering; and it's very, very reliable for a price that's very inexpensive these days for a phone. Yes, it is corded; but when all you really need is a basic phone this really does the job. Besides, the fact that this is corded means you'll never misplace the cordless handset!

The phone has back lit buttons which are desirable for those of us who are elderly or in any way sight impaired. The buttons could be brighter but the back lighting does improve upon no lighting. The phone offers well known features including "last number redial," too. The phone has a mute feature, adjustable ringer volume and more. These functions never disappoint me. It also has a small knob that lets you switch between touch tone and pulse (rotary) dialing. I use touch tone dialing as most people do. I am particularly impressed that a phone in this price range even has a twelve number memory feature for speed dialing. Cool! However, as another reviewer correctly notes, when you program the phone to remember frequently dialed numbers, you need to actually dial the number--so hang up fast if you don't intend to speak with that person at just that moment! I don't care for that so I will take off one star for this.

If you want to take a nap without the phone ringing, just turn the ringer off by using the knob at the base of the phone. That's an incredibly useful feature!

I highly recommend this telephone for people who merely want a basic, inexpensive phone that still has a few "frills" to like including memory speed dialing and mute. The extra features give you all you truly need to make this a well constructed telephone at a rather inexpensive price. Sure, the back lighting for the buttons on the phone could be brighter; but overall this is still quite a good phone for the price. The phone takes up little space and it can even be wall mounted to completely save counter space in a kitchen or any other room.

Quality 2008-03-06
If you want a simple land line phone this is it. Sound, weight and ease of use are excellent. I am very happy with this phone. This phone also hangs on the wall nicely. (Receiver does not fall off when you hang it up!) Buy it.

good basic phone 2008-01-25
I got mine and I am using it for my computer and a VOIP service (MagicJack). It has good sound and comfortable for the hand. I don't like the keypad on the phone but again I dial using the computer keyboard.

I Can Hear!! 2008-01-15
I was very happy to find this phone! I am middle-aged, and have cordless phones all over the house, but i CANNOT hear good on them. This kind of phone i can HEAR on!! I dont know how long it will work - yes it's "cheap" - but i may buy another for backup. The last phone of this type that i had the first thing to go WAS the keypad...i dont leave the ringer on so i dont know about that, i use the ringers on the other phones. I am just glad to be able to hear well, and i had a long cord leftover from the other phone, so i can still walk all around and talk. I hope it keeps working!

Great old-style phone 2008-01-12
This phone is simple, has no AC power requirements (which means when you lose power it will still work) and gets the job done. My only complaint: the cord it comes with is too short. If you get this phone, make sure to have a 3-foot replacement cord ready, and you'll be all set!

Copy of the best telephone ever 2008-07-12
This is a good little simple telephone. The only improvement that could be made is it should be made by American Telephone and Telegraph and not made in CHINA. It works fine.

AT&T 210 Trimline Corded Phone 2008-07-12
It's a good product. I didn't need anything fancy, just a phone that would work.

Junk 2008-06-13
Don't buy this phone. Not all the keys light and when one talks there is an echo in the earpiece that is almost painful. Probably the phone is defective. Back it goes.

Cheap Junk! 2008-06-11
Do not purchase this phone - it is a piece of cheap junk - dial tone button hangs - I took to next door neighbor, former SWB repairman, he took a look inside and said it was not worth throwing away - I did anyway and made a trip to Radio Shack and bought another phone, probably another piece of foreign make cheap junk.

AT&T Trimline 210 Telephone (White)

Our old Southwestern Bell wall mount phone was failing, so we selected a GE phone at Walmart. We could never keep the phone from falling off the hook when we hung it up. We have been happy over the years with our other Trimline phones so replaced the GE with this model. No complaints. No whistles or bells, but a nice plain reliable phone. Keep it up AT&T. We also purchased an AT&T rechargeable phone and answering machine combo and it is perfect, too. AT&T knows what they're doing with phones.
