This kit makes taking baby's temperature and dispensing medicine a snap. The great thing about the digital pacifier thermometer is that it provides an alternative to rectal or oral thermometers. Simply slip the orthodontic nipple into baby's mouth, just like any pacifier, and within 90 seconds it will have an accurate temperature reading. What's more, if the temperature it registers is above 99.9 degrees, it plays a soft musical version of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star." The medicine dispenser included in the kit is shaped like a syringe and lets a parent measure the exact amount of medication and then gently and slowly squirt it into a sick child's mouth. A bonus item in the kit is an additional pacifier with an orthodontic nipple recommended by pediatricians. --Jane Snyder

You don't need this

The thermometers are inaccurate. I have not used them more than once. The only useful thing in this set is the medicine dispenser...just buy a medicine dispenser on its own.

Not accurate

I used this thermometer pacifier and it's never had an accurate temp. Not to mention that the regular pacifier I wouldn't recommend using it at all, my daughter used it and she almost choked on it, it fell apart on her and the nipple was the only thing in her mouth nearly down her throat. It'a a good thing it was time for her to wake up or she wouldn't be here today.

I WOULD NOT USE THIS PRODUCT AT ALL.

Perfect for quick temp 2002-04-05
I have only used the pacifier thermometer but I find that it is perfect for new moms who want to take a quick temp for peace of mind. It is heavier than a normal pacifier but my daughter is pretty picky about what pacifiers she will take and she will keep this one in. Further I find it much more accurate than the ear thermometer.

Good luck getting your baby to use this pacifier! If they have a regular one they use, they will know the difference! Trust me. This is not for you if you have a picky baby!

Great Twist on the Traditional Pacifier 2001-06-15
When baby's not feeling well, it can be hard to get them to hold still to take their temperature. This great kit really improves on the traditional pacifier. By using this set, the baby can get the soothing comfort of a pacifier from the same device that is taking their temperature or dispensing their medication. This kit can definately take away some of the little difficultie involved in caring for baby when baby doesn't feel so well.
