This is the fourth or fifth replacement of this item as it is perfect for my hairstyle needs. Please don't discontinue it, EVER!

Frustrated

This brush seems to work the best on thick hair (metal shaft with hard plastic bristles) however, the motor on the fan that blows the hot air seems to die quickly from overheating. Very frustrated!

No Power

This concept is great, however this model has not nearly enough watts to dry or style your hair. Their description of this item does not mention the watts. Huge disappointment.

I liked my curling combo for the week that it worked but was disappointed when it started power surging in irregular spurts, making it virtually useless. The company, Helen of Troy, is only open M-F and doesn't have voice mail or offer an online customer support option.

I've used this iron for years. I love it. It works great for my straight hair when I want to flip up the ends.

I've used this product for years. This is the second one I've purchased. My first one died (RIP) after several years of regular use. If you have fine, straight hair like me and you want that perfect bob or you just want to add a whole-lotta volume to your layers, this is the gadget for you! Just make sure you have dried your hair almost completely with the blow dryer prior to use as this doesn't really work on super wet hair. The barrel is fairly large and isn't really the thing for short hair, either. I generally use the brush attachment. In fact, I don't even know where the iron attachment is at the moment. No more messing with boar bristle brushes while you're trying to blow dry! (My arms are sore just thinking about that!) Just let it be messy while you dry, then fix it all up with the Hot Air Curling Combo. Use a little mousse or gel and brush your hair out once prior to blow drying. You don't want to have to deal with huge snarls while you're using this thinger-bobber.

IT EVEN WORKS ON AFRICAN AMERICAN HAIR

I'm an african american female and my hair comes just about to my shoulders. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! I wash my hair once a week and after washing it i put some moisturizer on my hair and then use the hot air curling brush. It really makes my hair soft and adds a lot of volume to my flat hair (after a relaxer). It works so well on my hair that I don't have to get a relaxer every 4-6 weeks, it's more like every 3 months now. I was skeptical when my mother told me to use it (she has naturally curly fine hair), now instead of using hers I have one in my household. I know other african american women are skpetical of this product, but i'll tell you it works for us!!!! It has the same results as going to the dominican dubi shop and getting your hair blown out!! TRY IT, I KNOW YOU'LL LOVE IT!!!!

Love this, but.......

This is a great styler and I use it EVERY morning. Problem is they do burn out quickly. I have to order another because it seemed like the one I have is weakening as of this morning. That's how it starts, sounds like it is running out of power and gets weak, then burns out all together. I see that the last one I ordered was in March 2006, just two months ago! It works great like I said, but I can't be buying a new one every two months. The previous one lasted longer, but not a whole year. I will need to look elsewhere and get a product that has lasting power!

CONAIR, You Are My Best Friend!

In 2002, I bought the first hairdresser from CONAIR - hair setter. In fact, I fall in love with it, as it was my best friend since then. I didn't know that all their hairdressers will give me as rewarding results until I tried this year three of their products, which are CONAIR CHV26IX, CS19JCS and CD 160DRCS.

Hair dressing has never been as easy. I've tried many from other brands but none worked with me and gave me salon results as CONAIR, I thought the problem was with my curly hair until I tried CONAIR ones. Their products are life saving!

Thank you CONAIR, you've always been my best friend wherever I go.. : )
