Tea Party For One
2008-04-28
My four year old daughter can play with this for hours. She loves it. It colorful and surprisingly durable. I highly recommend it.
Absolutely wonderful teaset!

My daughter (now 19.5 months) received this tea set for Christmas and she absolutely loves it! She plays with it every single day and loves to have tea. We have never had anything in the cups, but the tea pot and cups are big enough to actually have water in them to play with when she gets older. She just absolutely loves to pour the tea and stir and drink from the cup, its very cute.
The only thing that I have noticed: When you tip the tea pot, it makes a little sound that you tip it. This little sound is there even when you play the "I'm a little teapot" song - so the song and the sound overlap each other.. so that is a little annoying, but still an absolutely wonderful toy for any little girl!
Great toy but you cannot put liquid in it!!!

BEWARE! I got this for my 2 year old's birthday and she was immediately in love with it. The problem is that the teacups each have 2 small HOLES near the top of the cup!! Which means that when a child tries to drink real "tea," the liquid drips all over their shirt and the floor!
I called Fisher Price and was told that this was a new "European regulation"--something to do with kids not being able to drown themselves in a cup... They said that every teapot sold since MAY 2007 has the holes in it. Also the set is allegedly not meant to have liquid in it, even though the directions that came with it do not say that, and even say to protect play surfaces from liquid. I said, ok, but we don't live in Europe, can I order replacement cups? and said no, they are all made that way now, and actually told me to try looking for an older model at Big Lots, Ollies, or other closeout stores.
Have you ever seen a kid that didn't want to put water in a teacup? My daughter had it open for 10 minutes before she ran to the sink to fill it up! Then she had water all over the place! I recommend that you keeping looking if you want a fun teaset. This one would get 5 stars from me if it didn't have HOLES in it!
Great gift!

My 2 year old received this for Christmas, and has loved it since she opened the package!
This would make a wonderful addition to any little girl's kitchen, as it is as durable as it is pretty.
I would buy this as a gift for someone else in a heartbeat!!
Disappointed Children
2008-01-11
My 3 year old and 18 month old were so excited to get this tea set for Christmas. Within minutes my 3 year old wanted to fill it with water and fill all the cups. That's when we discovered two holes in the side of each cup. It's a mess. The children were so sad. Now it sits in the cupboard and I doubt it will get played with much more. I'm disappointed I was not warned before purchasing about the holes in the sides of all the cups.
If you are debating between two sets don't go with this one.
Cute, but not perfect.

There's something magical about a tea party! Tip this teapot over for magic pouring sounds, or press the lid to hear a tea time tune! Set includes four cups, saucers and spoons, plus a creamer and sugar bowl with lid, and a tray for serving treats. Requires 2 replaceable button-cell (LR44 or equivalent) alkaline batteries.
Thunder is the head of the ecovores. Kids press a button to make him stomp and roar. Comes with 3 smaller dinosaurs and a cave man.
My twins girls are having a blast

My 3 1/2 year old twin girls got this from Santa. They LOVE it! They even argue over who gets to pour the tea. They are quite the little ladies and offer everyone tea, and cream and sugar on a daily basis. This is a good toy for any kid who likes to have tea parties.
perfect for your toddler

I purchased this tea set 2 months ago after searching for a plastic version for my 2 yr old. Most I had found were ceramic/breakable. This is very colorful and perfect for my daughter's little hands, she can pour the tea pot with no trouble due to its light weight. She has loved it since she saw the box and plays with it daily. The only negative is that the price has increased from 9.99, which I purchased it at,up to 49.99 and is now currently selling for 39.99. It is well worth 9.99 but I certainly would advise against purchasing it at these higher prices that Amazon is trying to sell it at now. You will be disappointed at having paid 40.00 for it. Hopefully, Amazon will again price it at the more appropriate amount of 9.99 which fits for this plastic toy.
Tea for Fun

This was such a hit with my 16 month old daughter--probably helped along by the fact that I am an avid tea drinker! She pours everyone in the living room a cup of tea and delights in having tea parties. She even will bring a cup to her chair to enjoy while watching TV!
Great Tea Set!

My 22 month old daughter just received this as a Christmas gift and has been playing with it since Christmas morning! The only thing I have a problem with is the price of this set. I have looked online because I myself was going to get one for her, but several places online has this set running at 25-45 dollars OR MORE! My grandmother bought this for my daughter at our local King's and got it for $12.94! It works like it should and has all the pieces, just a WAY LOWER price! Overall this is a great toy and my daughter LOVES it! :)
