My husband loves this Rangefinder!

I gave my husband the Bushnell Pro Scout rangefinder after looking at many reviews on this type of product. Even though he is very picky about any golf product he uses, he absolutely raves about this rangefinder! He golfs 3-4 times a week and has used it every time he goes out and can't say enough good things about it: it's lightweight, accurate, and easy to use.
Bushnell Yardage Pro Scout

My first Range Finder, I bought it for golf but it was a disappointment. It's accurate if you can keep your hands steady enough to get the reading. I would rather spend a $150 more and get the Pin Seeker model.

As always Bushnell quality is great. Compact and easy to use. The Yardage Pro Scout Rangefinder is a great buy.
Good inside 200 yds

Bottom line: If you want the best product and don't mind paying a higher price and a larger sized rangefinder, buy the pinseeker.
I purchased this product for myself for use on the golf course. I was drawn by the smaller size and price of this rangefinder when compared to the Bushnell Pinseeker I was considering. However, the pro scout needs to really "see" the flag and not just the pin (stick) for it to give a measurement in most cases. The Pinseeker seems to give distance to the pin only better. This item does well inside of 200 yards, when someone is on the green, or when the wind is blowing (allows bouncing off the flag itself). It still sometimes takes several laser shots to get a distance. I still like this product however. It takes some getting used to in order to make it work well, but it is not perfect. I like to use it to determine distince to the water hazard, a specific tree, etc. It is still very useful, but if money and size of the product are not hindrances, buy the Pinseeker.

The laser works well and I use it all of the time. Those of you that want to spend more money should buy the pinseeker 1500, which works easier than the yardage pro, but for most shots the yardage pro works fine

Not Bad

I didn't quite get the range out of this that I thought I would. However it is very effective.
I can range things like trees out to about 450 yards. I can range big shiny things like RVs out to about 600 yards. I bought it for hunting and can reliably range things like elk to 300 yards.
Ultimately I figured if I can't range an elk with it Id better keep hiking because Im obviously farther away than I should be to shoot at it. However it would be nice to know how much closer I need to sneek up to be within 300 yards.
Overall pretty good..4 stars.
Not quite what I was hoping.

I play executive courses in Florida and many of these are located in housing developments. Flags are frequently in front of houses and or trees. It is difficult to obtain the correct yardage for these holes. There also is very little support on how to align on the target whether it is the flag, flag pole, front of green, etc. My iGolf GPS unit is much more useful.
So so

Item arrived quickly, but I was disappointed with its usage. It was fine for measuring to a sand trap or people on the green but I could seldom get range to the flag. I am going to return the item and pay more for a better one.
Works Great

Just purchased it and have used it five times. It works exactly as advertised. It has cut 8 strokes off my game overnight. It eliminates one unknown in hitting the pin: what's the exact yardage so I know which club to select? I also have used it to get the range to a bunker and have received reliable data. The range finder is compact, light weight, and very easy to use. It works in the lighting conditions at dusk and also has worked very well in the bright winter sun. In my experience, it deserves the five star rating.
