Love this product! 2008-04-21
This product worked great when we had bottles that you could warm this way (using drop-ins now so they cannot be warmed in it.) One thing to note, with all the hoopla over BPA this is a great warmer for glass bottles and glass baby food jars too.

Works great - safe for breastmilk 2008-04-11
We have been very pleased -- heats milk quickly & efficiently (about 1 minute). As long as you follow the instructions it works well. We confirmed that this unit is safe to use with breast milk (even comes with specific instructions for breast milk). We use Playtex Nursers with drop-ins.

Perhaps other negative reviewers who experienced inconsistent results did not always have exactly the same amount of milk, or perhaps they did not snap in the bottle cage correctly...? It is a very easy mistake to make. Just some ideas. In any event, we have had consistent results. We recommend this unit.

Great Product 2008-03-18
This is a great bottle warmer. It is a bit hard to figure out just how much water to put in to get the right temperature. It warms up fast and works great for the middle of the night feedings. I am very happy with it.

Yay! I finally got it to work for me! 2008-02-11
I'm quite convinced now that late pregnancy and early post-partum are probably the worst periods of time to try to figure out gadgets that don't have clear instructions. In my case, although there was a warning that a basket should always be used in the warmer, my brain erased that comment with the subsequent paragraph that said wide mouth bottles don't require the lift out basket. To be clearer, in both places it should say that the large basket is always required (otherwise you are heating the bottle directly on the plate and also in boiling water... both of which are no-nos.

The instructions are also too simplistic. The type of bottle one uses (shape, size, material) will very dramatically affect how the heat from the steam impacts the solution being heated. I would also imagine that some further tweaking will be required as the composition of breastmilk changes during the day and over the course of the post partum period.

For example, I used 9 oz MAM Ultivent (BPA free) translucent bottles that are wide at the bottom and narrow at the top. In my successful experiment with water chilled in the fridge to about 40 F, I needed to add 2x the max level in the provided measuring tube to get the water up to about 80 F. The unit was on for about 6 minutes until the water all vaporized. This is more than 2x the amount generally recommended in the instruction sheet and the sticker plastered to the side of the unit has even less detail.

Note that if you make the mistake of running the unit without any basket, some overheat sensor will trip before the water is completely used up after about a minute or so.

Given that there is unlikely any product out there which monitors the temp of the solution being heated (or is otherwise aware of what kind of bottle/solution combo is in place), trial and error and patience will be required with any such product. Life will probably be easier for formula babies since formula doesn't change over time!

Good luck!

p.s. a water softener with regular applications of rust-inhibitor solution, or the use of distilled water will probably reduce the amount of cleaning required. Using vinegar to remove mineral deposits is the age old standard for cleaning everything from pots and pans to humidifiers etc.

Perfect Little Warmer! 2008-01-26
I was very satisfied with this warmer! I used it for over a year for my daughter's bottles. Heated perfectly everytime, and if it was a little off its not like it was freezing cold or scalding either! Probably safer to use than the microwave and much easier than stove top. I never used it for food jars but you can. I was even able to sell it when I was done using it. Its a great product.

much-needed for first grandson!!!!!!! 2008-07-01
This is a must-have for parents-and grandparents. Gave it to my daughter for our first grandson-we both will use it. Thanks for the wonderful price and prompt service.

No more running hot water 2008-06-09
I love this warmer. I didnt get it until 2 months after my son was born. So the first two months I ran water until it was hot and then waited. But with this, its wonderful. Wait time is not long for his bottles. The chart kind of help with how much water but its a try and error but once you get it down, its pretty consistant. Sometimes its too hot or still kinda chilled but I run water then, but it is once in a blue moon when that happens. My son is 7 months now and I used it also to warm up his frozen puree. This takes about three time in the warmer but I rather stem it then use the microwave.

Great Warmer. 2008-06-09
This product is absolutely wonderful. I bought this warmer after being given the larger one with the cooler as a baby shower gift. I wanted to use this one for travel and to send with to our childcare provider's house. This warmer quickly heats up a bottle even in the care using an adapter. You do have to play with the amount of water added to the warmer, but not much. The automatic shut-off is a life saver and makes it an ease to use. I am confident warming up my breastmilk in this warmer and I would recommend it to any family with a new baby.

This little thing rocks! Quick and reliable heat-up 2008-06-07
We heat up both breast milk and formula in this thing. We heat it up in plastic bottles, and in glass bottles. It works like a charm. You have to be quite careful to measure out the right amount of water, as it makes all the difference to the temperature.

1st years bottle warmer 2008-05-14
Pretty unsatisfactory product. Arrived very quickly. Doesn't heat a bottle any faster than running the bottle under hot running water. My nanny has simply refused to use it.

Dora The Explorer

My kids just love joining Dora on her exciting adventures and they get to learn a little Spanish along the way. They really respond the the interactivity of the videos especially when Swiper the Fox comes along - "Oh Man!"

She is great as a role model for girls and for learning Spanish .
