Use OEM ink if you are going to pring photos 2007-03-20
Canon original Magenta ink is a must if you plan on printing your own photos from a Canon photo printer. I've tried generics and they red hue is too strong. However I would not recommend Canon ink if you are using for printing graphics because of the cost. Greatproduct, price is more, but quality is the best.

Be careful 2007-01-04
I ordered BCI-6M magenta for my Canon Pixma iP 4000. Amazon sent BCI-6PM Photo Magenta instead. It looks identical and fits in the printer but it will not work in this model. After contacting Canon they had me remove the wrong ink tank and install the correct one that works fine. My rating does not mean anything but I think Amazon should refund or send me the correct replacement.

Always use OEM ink 2007-01-04
I have a Canon i9900 and I have always used Canon ink without any problems. Some of my friends have told me their horror story about using less expensive generic ink. It's not worth it folks, if you have a Canon printer use Canon ink, if you have an HP printer use HP ink. Same goes for Epson.

Great price for orignal ink 2007-01-04
This was the lowest price I could find for original ink.

good stuff-way too expensive 2006-08-10
I am a new user of an i9900 Canon Printer. The color is exceptional and I love the easy interface.
The ink cartridges are easy to snap in and the computer tells when one runs dry.
My biggest kick is the price. What is that ink made from?
I paid $400 for the printer and now have to pay $$$$ for the ink?

Unbelieveable 2007-10-21
The Product is great! I just never got what I ordered. After 3 tries I finally gave up.

Stick with Canon Inks 2007-10-06
I currently have a Canon i960, but I've learned over the years never substitute generic inks no matter what the advertisement says. Only Canon inks give me the quality I want and don't ruin the printer. I do a lot of color prints to use as references in my art work, and contrary to what others may say, the inks last a long time and are well worth the expense for me.

Best for Canon printers 2007-08-15
This ink works great with Canon printer. Unfortunately this is the ONLY ink that works great with a canon printer. Any other ink I tried produce terrible result. So, basically if you own Canon printer you stuck with this ink, which can be a little less expensive. I gave 4 stars because the price is a bit high.

Canon Inks 2007-07-30
Genuine ink for the Pro Canon photo printers. Results are outstanding with photos you swear came from a pro lab.

Canon Ink 2007-07-16
I agree with the other reviews...you MUST use Canon ink with the i9900 printer. Twice I tried to use other ink and had to replace my print head both times...not worth it!
