Better Than iPod Head Phones!
2008-06-20
Ok, so if you are like me and can't stand those miserable ipod head phones that come with your ipod, then these sony's are for you. The sound quality is awsome. The best thing about them is that they don't pop out of your ears at random (the way the white ipod ones do, and you know what I'm talking about). The fact that they go over the head makes them perfect for outdoor walks, runs or dog walking. I got 3 sets i liked them so much, and at the cost they are excellent. The sound quality is fantastic and the weight of the headset is really light. Remember your first sony sports walkman in the 80's that came with simillar headphones, well, these are so much lighter and allow for "surround sound like quality". You won't be sorry you got these, they get along great with my ipod and my iphone. Don't delay, get your's now .
better then ear buds
2008-06-09
I like this kind of headphones, mostly because the ear buds do not stay in place and stay in. These are over the head-in the ear kind- kind of like ear buds but with an over the head band to hold them in place.
I love these headphones!

I have tried many headphones that all hurt my ears. I've never found in-the-ear ones that didn't hurt after 10 minutes. I've also tried the sport sony headphones that clip around your hear, but they are too big so they always jump around or fall off when I run.
These headphones are the first ones I've found that don't hurt my ears at all, even if I'm at the gym for 1 1/2 hours. Some people complained in reviews that the ear part is sharp and scratches your ear-I didn't have this problem at all. Others complained that the cord is too short-but I disagree if you are short. I am only 5'2" and feel that most cords are far too long, so these are the perfect length for me. Overall, I think these are great headphones.
Best headphones for exercise!
2008-05-19
I have owned many pairs of these. They are simply the best, most comfortable headphones for exercising. My only complaint is that the metal on the headphone plug gets corroded over time, and so I have to replace these every year or so. Thankfully, they are so inexpensive.
$9.99!

outstanding value. very good sound quality. went running with them for the first time today and the headphones remained rock solid on the head/ears for the entire run, versus ear buds which didn't quite work for me, and always inevitably fell out, even when running on a treadmill. if i must be super critical, it was very windy today while i was running. because there is not a "seal" around the ear canal like the ear buds provide, you could hear some wind noise when running into the wind. otherwise, i cannot complain. i'm using them right now as i write this review. lol! enjoy.
Great Value

Can't beat the price for these great sounding headphones. Very light plastic construction which fit snugly in ears and on head. I run 4.5 miles at a time and this headset stays put. One caveat though is that they are not hinged anywhere hence do not fold and will not fit in a small pocket. But they are flexible enough to squeeze into a larger one.
Simple, yet amazing

I have had these headphones for many years now. The ONLY complaint is that they do not last more than 18 months. HOWEVER - the sound quality is INCOMPARABLE. Throw out your iPod ear buds, or the other earbuds. These Sony headphones will change the way you listen to music. For me - I am very active in the gym and need something that goes with me while I run or lift weights. The earbud types are constantly annoying to me. I visited Target recently and could not find the replacement for my most recent pair (BTW- they probably did not last longer only because they are sometimes kept in the heat of my car in FLORIDA) so I purchased the Sony earbud type and I couldn't STAND THEM. If you sweat, they will fall out of your ears and forget it if you run.
Anyway, these Sony Headphones are the way to go. Don't let the price fool you. But you may want to buy two at a time, just in case!
I'm probably going to have to replace these

They are ok when plugged into a PC, but at higher volume on an ipod, they tend to crackle. Also wish the wire was about 12 inches longer.
Nice Earphones for the Price

I have several of these Sony earphones. I use them with my iPod Shuffle because I don't like the iPod ear buds very much. I also use the earphones with my Walkman. They are light and comfortable and the sound quality is surprisingly good. Since I wear the earphones while jogging, their lifespan on hot summer days is limited--usually about 90 days in the summer, longer in cooler weather--but the price is so reasonable, I figure the headphones are still a good value.
This is not good for me.

MDR-E828LP is a much better. I brought both. MDR-W08L is not comfortable. Feels like it is going to come off any second. Sound is not good. I will not buy this one again.
