Editorial Review
Straightforward enough for the do-it-yourself flooring installer, yet durable enough for the professional, this mallet-actuated flooring nailer comes with a rubber mallet so you’re up and running out of the box. Great for installing hardwood and engineered flooring, this nailer is lightweight but incredibly well-made. It drives 1-1/2- to 2-inch, L-shape, serrated cleats into tongue-and-groove, 3/4-inch solid hardwood as well as engineered flooring. An aluminum housing ensures optimal jobsite durability and easy handling. A long reach handle means less bending at the waist for better comfort and control. Rubber bumpers along the tool body help protect the floor from damage, a big plus when installing pre-finished flooring. Best of all, a 200-cleat magazine means fewer reloads, so you get the job done fast. Bostitch backs this tool with its 7-year warranty. --Brian D. Olson

Impressive nailer 2007-01-27
Purchased the refurbished nailer and everything looked new right out of the box. Have several other Bostitch nailers which have worked fine over the past decade. Nails were easy to buy here in Florida but have to wait a few weeks to use it up in NC. Delivery was prompt and no complaints here so far and can't wait to use it. I'll write back with a 5 star rating after I get a chance to use it.

a mistake 2006-11-09
I purchaed this nailer to install 700 square feet of new flooring. Thinking this was a better idea than renting a nailer. When the day came for the installation I had to hire an hourly worker to install the floor because of my schedule. In the first 10 minutes the MFN200 broke. I had to go to the box store and rent a nailer afterall. I bought this nailer based on personal experience with Bostich and they did repair the nailer at no cost but now I am stuck with a nailer that has 10 minutes of use in it. And I still had to pay for the rental fees.

Broken 2004-11-14
The thin metal bar that drives the nail down was broken upon arrival. So I would have to give it the lowest rating.

Must Have For Floor Install 2004-09-16
Seems rugged and works great. It takes a short while to get use the swing. You want to hit it pretty hard to force the boards together without splitting the toe.
You can build your floor with a nice finish nailer, but the cleat is much sturdier.
Senco cleats from your local hardware works great. You don't need to wait two weeks for the Bostitch.

Great Tool for the Money 2004-03-14
I had the opportunity to use both this tool and the Porta Nailer manual floor nailer during a recent job. Both tools were new, both were solidly constructed and of good quality. The Bostich proved far superior to the Porta Nailer due primarily to the ratcheting feature on the Porta Nailer. This does not fuction well and is a poor design. The Porta nailer would leave cleats half driven or fail to release the cleat from the nailer after the cleat was fully driven. On the Porta Nailer side of the job we spent alot of time on our knees with a nail set trying to set cleats. We were forced to pull up a few planks becasue the cleats could not be set or removed. Eventually it was faster to just use the Bostich than waste man hours with the Porta Nailer. POSTSCRIPT _ It's a great value for the money - over ten big jobs without a hitch.

Not A Good Product 2008-07-13
I was only able to lay 130 ft of hardwood before the ratcheting system broke on the nailer. The nailer is still usable but you need to drive a 1 1/2 inch nail on one strike to use it. No small task. I would not recommend the tool to anyone and you would be better off buying the compressor and pneumatic nailer. It would be well worth the initial extra money.

Good Tool 2008-07-04
This tool did what it was designed to do and did it well. I have nailed down about 1000 square feet of flooring with this nailer without 1 jam I am completely satisfied.

This is just the coolest ... 2008-04-05
I was so amazed when I opened this I wanted to use it right away but my nails came several days later. This let me read the instructions so I was ready when the nails arrived. I was totally amazed at how easy this was to use. It was my first flooring job and everything went smoothly and I mean everything. If I were in the business of flooring I would recommend you might look into the pneumatic one but for small areas this is more than adequate. Stanley Bostitch rocks ...

quick delivery 2007-09-23
Very pleased with the condition of the Bostitch re-conditioned nailer. I think it was actually brand-new but was missing it's box.I paid for the premium amazon shipping, I don't believe that was a very good deal, I think I would have received the tool in the same time without it.

Works good 2007-03-05
I bought this nailer to install my flooring and it has worked great, it does especially well to pull any warp out of the boards to give a tight fitting joint. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is only because of the included mallet--the handle is too thin and does not have any grip to it. I had to wrap the handle with a thick layer of tape to be able to hold onto it.
