Very good compressor at the right price

More air and very quiet compared to the porta cable I previously owned, although some what heavier. The porta cable was a toy compared to this Dewalt. I've read reviews where people complained that their product was damaged in shipment, but mine was perfect and I got it in 2 days even though I went super saver shipping. I am well pleased with the product and the service.

Great Portable

Recovery time was very good when using a framing nailer. Using a blowgun for cleaning was ok. Acceptable noise level. Used on a 100' extention cord off a 15 amp circuit, with no problems. I'm very pleased with it. Looking forward to many years of use in my shop.

I use this with my Paslode; 16 Gauge and Framing nailers, I hang then trim doors, sometimes rebuild sills and headers. I also do various trim/frame carpentry on other projects.

If you are worried about changing the oil its only once a year!
If you are worried about operating on a slope, i have always found a flat spot to locate it in, even roofers leave theirs on the ground, just put on more hose. Who wants to carry this up a ladder anyway?!

I would never buy an air compressor without a user serviceable airfilter!

This bad boy will do the work of a much larger compressor. It will easily run several guns on a framing crew or even a roofing crew. The HP rating is a little misleading compared to other compressors. 2 HP isn't max , it's continuous. I have one of these (Emglo 2HP) that's been abused and used hard for several years now with no problems ,only good dependable air. I highly recommend it. If I could change one thing I would make it quieter.

Need to buy another compressor 2008-07-12
I purchased this compressor because the specifications indicated it was powerful enough for a specific project I was working on. I checked the specs on DeWalt's website, too. While I have loved all other DeWalt tools I own, this was a waste of money as it did not have enough CFPS to power the tool I bought it to use with, even thouth the DeWalt site listed specs that indicated it did. For a general, small compressor for simple household tasks, this is a great tool. But if you are considering purchasing it for the CFPS and PSI specs it advertises, you probably need to spend more money and get a bigger one. I now need to spend more money to get a second one that will actually do the job, and I'm going to have to figure out what to do with this one.

Compressor works great! Plenty of air for my Passlode framing nailer. Quick recovery; not too loud; easy to carry around. It would have been nice for it to come with the quick connector included but that's a minor deal. Bought it from Amazaon and got it within three days....free shipping!

After 1 room of flooring installation 2007-12-10
Product performed flawless during 3 days of flooring installation supplying air to a floor nailer and a finish nailer. Easy to break-in, easy to use. A bit more information on what is included would be helpful for future customers. A standard threaded single connection is all that is provided (perhaps I did not look close enough at the photos/literature) - no quick connects installed on this product. A quick trip to the local tool store and an hour is all that was required to remedy the situation.

I purchased the compressor through Amazon and had no problems at all. The compressor is everything I expected it to be. I've used it with my DeWalt brad nailer putting up moldings, and with a rented floor nailer. The compressor worked exceptionally well for both applications. The compressor is not noisey which I was a little concerned with after reading other reviews. I have not used the compressor with a framing nailer but plan to in the near future. I did not realize that there were two types of fittings for compressors and tools, automotive and industrial. You cannot interchange the two so decide which ones to go with and stick with that. I do think one or the other is considered standard and I would probably go with the standard. The rental unit had a standard fitting on it, as I was told.
