Editorial Review
Synchronize your calendar, contacts, tasks, and e-mail between your mobile devices and your PC applications with PDAsync. This fast and handy program works with all major personal organizer software applications. PDAsync places an easy-to-use menu on your desktop PC. Simply select what you want to sync based on category. PDAsync also allows you to sync multiple mobile devices to your PC or a single mobile device to multiple PCs.

PDAsync uses LapLink's Rapid Transfer Technology to deliver incredibly fast synchronization rates, and, after initial synchronization, the program sends only your changes, saving you time. Its auto detect tool enables automatic synchronization whenever you connect your mobile device to your PC. PDAsync supports Palm, Windows CE, Pocket PC, and Casio personal organizer devices, and it's compatible with Outlook, Lotus Notes, Lotus Organizer, and ACT! software. Along with English, PDAsync supports Spanish, French, German, and Italian.

Good value for money under conditions 2002-01-16
This product has everything in one package. No need to buy separate synch software for CE or Palm if you use both. The downside is that it takes a long time to synch especially the first time. Make sure to look around for best price as there is a great variation in pricing (for the download).

Sweeeeeeeeeeeet! 2001-12-04
I use PDAsync to keep my IPaq updated with my work AND my home PC. I use PDAsync to update my Ipaq at work, then I bring my Ipaq home and use PDAsync to sync my Ipaq with my home PC. PDAsync doesn't mess up my duplicates like my other PDA software always did--Plus I have found that it seems to transfer much faster.

Won't install -- no support 2003-12-01
It wouldn't install on my vanilla XP Pro system, there's absolutely no support on the Laplink site, and it trashed my Lotus Notes installation in the process.

It may install and work great for others, but for some reason it has been a complete waste of (too much) time for me!

product has been "twilighted" 2002-11-08
This product is no longer listed on the manufacturer's web site. When I wrote customer service to inquire why, I was told the product was "twilighted" (which I take as a euphamism for "discontinued."

Works well with Lotus Notes (Intellisync does not) 2002-04-13
After strugling with the Intellisync trial for about four weeks, I was happy to find this product.

PDAsync

1. Allows direct sync between the Palm Desktop and Lotus Notes (not supported in Intellisync).

2. Allows you to switch synchronization targets (does not work in Intellisync. Their tech support says you can't do that). For me this is a basic requirement.

3. Is half the price of Intellisync.

The interface is a litle puzzling at first. But after you "get it", the product is easy to use.

PDAsync is NOT PDAstink 2002-03-29
...PDAsync is actually a pretty decent product. Although it won't transfer the notes field in ACT 2000 into a PocketPC..., it WILL permit you to map other customized fields.... ...

PDAsync is PDAstink 2002-03-28
After my initial sync I could not get PDAsync to transfer additional info between my Jornada 568 and Act 2000. My attempts to retrieve usable info from Laplink's (PDAsync's parent company) so-called "knowledge base" and their tech support have, so-far, been futile.

For tech support, you are permitted one "free" telephone call, then you must pay a price... per incident/call (one call is approx. the cost of the entire program!). Don't try to e-mail them either. They won't accept e-mails without first filling out their form, complete with a serial number. Of course, they don't send out a serial number when you download the product directly from them ... even after purchasing it.

So far, not only has this product cost me money, but it has cost me lots of time. Trust me on this one, pay a few more bucks and get Intellisync or Companionlink.

There is a definite reason why both Laplink Inc. and PDAsync rhyme with "stink". They are both rotten.
