Customer Reviews
Less than impressed

The first Dolce item I purchased was the wine tower and I have been very happy with that piece. However, the coffee table and end tables all arrived with cracks. The coffee table was not glued together properly and was misaligned. Not pleased at all and way too costly to ship back.
Awesome

Item shipped quickly and was in absolute perfect condition when I received it. It was extremely well packaged and was very easy to put together. The piece is much sturdier and more solid than I had expected, and I was not expecting junk.
Superb, especially for the price.
Almost There

My 3 local Target stores had all furniture on sale for 30% off, but no Dolce in stock. So I took my chances online. Table was deliverd in timely manner and in good condition in accordance with UPS Ground shipping times and city of origin. Maybe its me, but I was expecting something dark brown. The dark walnut looked as if it was dark red mahogany - or real walnut stained with dark red mahogany stain. Side panels were non-uniform in color and with the redishness of the stain makes table look cheap. If the entire table was like the top molding it would be a great table. Top center is a little rough. At the right angle you can see how the staining did not fully penetrate the funny grain revealing swirling white/gray patterns. If I saw this in store I would not have bought it. End tables are due tomorrow. Stay tuned.
very pleased

I read most of the reviews and I was a little hesitant when people had written in saying their shipment had been damaged. I guess unfortunately that can happen, but I was pleasantly surprised! My Dolce coffee and end table came in perfect condition and I think they are wonderful! Where else could you get such well built tables for that price? They are very stable and heavy! They look magnificent in my livingroom and the price was right!
Chapped

As much as I love my Dolce console and telephone table the coffee table was not well received upon delivery. It came without instructions (not that they are not self explainatory)or hardware. Try finding 8x1.25 mm nuts in Columbus, Ohio! The top of the table has some splotches that look like stain drippings and the right hand corner is slightly nicked. Needless to say my husband is "chapped" at me for giving him another junk project to assemble and is upset we paid full price for this item. I'm not returning it for the mere fact of having to deal with the postal/shipping process and how convenient of Target not to have a phone number listed on the bill for customer service or complaints. Are there no quality assurance measures taken to prevent these problems?
Very nice. Fast shipping.

I ordered this on line on 4-15 with free shipping and it arrived 2 days later. Don't ask me how they accomplished that. I checked it for damage. There was none. I followed the simple directions and it was assembled in 5 minutes. I will probably buy 2 matching end tables. It is not heirloom quality but certainly fine for our media room.
good for the price

i bought this coffee table not too long ago, when it came in the mail it already had a chip out of the veneer on the top.My boyfriend said that we can stain it, but i dont know when we will be able to find the time, it would also be expensive to have it shipped back. It is a pretty sturdy table though, good for the money. be careful and use coasters with the table because one time we put a glass that had water on the bottom of it, and it bubbled the veneer in that spot. temporary, not much nicer than you would get at ikea, but its a nice looking table in the mean time.
Looks nice but very cheap

When you first put it together it looks nice, although you can totally tell its a cheap piece of furniture. I suppose for the low price of $79.99 its worth it but the finish is already chipping all around the sides and the top. Deep scratches etc. I have no children or pets, just two adults using this table and its not holding up well after just a few months. It's also way too small to be of use as a coffee table I think.
I should have known as I also have the dolce desk and filing cabinet and the desk is horribly scratched all over it, it looks terrible and the finish has rubbed off all over after less than a year of use.
The folding bookcase I have and love. It has no scratches or finish rubbing off but mainly I think because it never gets touched.
The dolce collection looks nice but its very cheaply made and looks it as well.
Cheap

I ordered this table and when I received it there were 2 different size legs so it could not be put together without one side being 6" taller than the other side. I took it back to a store to exchange it and they did not believe that I received 2 different height legs. After a while, they exchanged them, and now after having the table for 6 months, the paint is chipping off the edges of the table. It looks so cheap and was not worth what we paid for the table.
OK for the price, but not something you'll keep forever.....

We had bought our Dolce Dark Walnut Coffee Table in the store luckily a couple of years ago, so we didn't have the problems with damaged goods being delivered to our home. While we were impressed with it right out of the box, we did find that it did scratch easily and now most of the edges have a well worn look to them. I'm actually thinking about either painting or staining ours to eliminate the scratches and etc.
