My sons love this book. Usually they sit right down by the mailbox and read it. There are baseball sized cards in it every month and a poster. Perfect age-appropriate material.

This makes a great gift for the young sports fan. He reads it from cover to cover every month and looks forward to getting something in the mail that is for him. It is a gift that lasts all year.

My son says that my grandson looks forward to his magazine every month and devours it as soon as it arrives. His room is covered with posters from his magazines. My son is delighted that the kids version is not filled with stories about drugs, steroids, dog killings. You get the idea.
Thank you for putting out such a good magazine for kids.

one of the better kids' magazines

My son is 8 and a sports freak. When this magazine arrives in the mailbox, he jumps on it and reads every word. It helps him stay up on the latest so he can be the "expert" out on the playground!

As a mom, one thing I like about this magazine is that in addition to covering the major sports (baseball, football, etc.) they also have features about less common sports from time to time.

I wish there was a bit less advertising, of course, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. But it's much better than some other kids mags I've seen.

I thought about buying regular Sports Illustrated for my son. He's an advanced reader and would be able to keep up, and it's certainly a better deal money-wise, what with it being a weekly publication. But another reviewer made a great comment here that I changed my mind: adult SI has lots of articles about athletes with drugs, personal life issues (divorce or whatnot), legal issues and so forth. These are not interesting or appropriate for my little boy. He doesn't want a scandal sheet, he just wants to read about *sports*, and that's the focus in SI for Kids.

(PS: based on other reviews for this and other magazines here on Amazon, I have taken to ordering all magazines directly from the publisher. I hope Amazon starts carrying more reliable magazine distributors because it would be nice to handle all my subs right here.)

Great mag to get kids active and interested in fitness and a nice addition for reading material. Good motivational articles from professional athletes to other kids across the country. Got a 2 year subscription as a 5th grade graduation gift for my little brother.

This is a GREAT magazine. I have a 10 year old son that reads it from front to back! He's required to read at least 20 minutes daily and when his magazine arrives in the mail it's never an issue to get him to read. Thank you Sports Illustrated for making a Kids version!

I purchased 2 SI for Kids magazine subscriptions ~ one for my son and one as a birthday gift for his friend. The timing couldn't have been more perfect, as the first issue arrived just in time for summer reading. Delivery was sooner than the time frame estimate originally provided. The magazine comes with a sheet of special sports trading cards ~ an added bonus that the boys love.

All in all, we are very happy with our purchase and the price offered by Amazon!

Great product, bad service

The magazine is fine, but I changed the address it was supposed to be sent to immediately after ordering and 6 months later it still comes to me instead of the intended recipient. Very frustrating!
