Customer Reviews
bad stuff, I guess it is not a genuine SONY product

This unit make great blank noise when converting the signal to your cassette player. Do not expect good sound quality from that.
Only lasted a month
2008-06-17
I got this adapter in March and it worked great for about a month. Then I started noticing a faint high frequency "pop" which gradually increased in volume to the point where it was impossible to listen to anything. I tried another adapter to make sure it wasn't my head unit and it works fine. I would have given this product 4 or 5 stars the first month, but now it gets one.
Good sound

I use this to hook up my mp3 player to my car stereo. Excellent sound very very simple to use.
Ejects repeatedly
2008-05-30
This item worked for about a week then quit. The cassette player shows an error message and ejects the device. Once in a great while I could get it to stay in. Sometimes when it stayed in I got a very faint sound. Other times it stayed in and worked for a few minutes before ejecting again. One week of use isn't enough! I'm very disappointed in this unit. I bought it due to high praise in reviews but my experience has been anything but satisfactory. Too bad I threw away the packaging or I'd return it to Amazon.
IPod/cassette adapter
2008-05-30
For the price, this is a good product. With the exception of an annoying clicking from the cassette it does the job well. For cars without MP3/IPod Jacks, I think this is a better alternative than the FM option with it's inherent interference
Great deal for the price

I bought my GF an ipod for our anniversary/her birthday & she loved it. The only problem was, how was she going to use it in her car? This Sony tape deck adapter was our solution. I know that it might sound like a ghetto solution to some, but don't knock it until you've tried it. The sound might not be as crisp & clear as a CD, but I bet the average person can't even tell the difference. She's been using it for 2 months now & hasn't had a single problem. This was the perfect solution to our problem, & hopefully it will do the same for you.
Works Great So Far

I purchased this Sony Cassette Adapter for use in my 2004 Toyota Tacoma pickup's factory cassette player. So far it is working flawlessly and is quite an improvement over the Belkin FM Transmitter I used previously.
Great product

I've been using this Sony cassette adapter with my iPod for about 4 months now, and it works great. I'm surprised by the sound quality. If you are lucky enough to have a cassette player in your car, this cassette adapter is the best (and cheapest) way to play your iPod or other MP3 player through your car stereo.
Very, Very quite

Great Item!!

This Cassette Adapter is really great! I used a FM transmitter before for my IPod Nano in my car and it was really a pain. Trying to find the correct station and the reception wasn't that good. I thought I'd try the cassette adapter and I'm sure glad I did. The FM transmitter went in the garbage. Great sound and so easy to use. I highly recommend!!
