DON'T BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2008-09-06
You know I really liked ff#12 but take my advice don't buy this game I mean you don't even get to move the guy you are playing as and the only time you get to move around is when you are swimming. the part I am stuck on is ok i am swimming in the water and then theese whales start atacking me ok i deafeat them and then it just takes back to swimming and there is NO way I can go back on dry land.

Absolutely brilliant, moving, and unforgettable 2008-08-23
This game was literally the first time I actually started to become emotional in playing a video game. The storytelling is absolutely brilliant - the conclusion so well done and wondrous, it clearly outshines anything a live action movie could ever hope to do.

The game's pacing and character development allow you to empathize with all of the characters, particularly Yuna and Tidus. All the characters are brilliantly woven and serve their purpose.

However, the endless battles can get annoying, along with the constant item hunting/searching.

You will not forget this game. It will stick in your mind and you will remember the ending for quite some time.

A COMPLETE LETDOWN, I WASTED MY MONEY 2008-08-07
Final Fantasy 10 is lets face it a bad 50 hour long movie. since I am still mad I WASTED 20 DOLLARS ON THIS GAME!!!!! Im not even going to give it a decent review. I mean the voice acting of this game is just sooooo terrible. Tidus voice sounds like hes eleven years old. The story is long and dull if you liked FF 1-9 AVOID FF 10

A true Final Fantasy game 2008-07-29
Ha! i laugh at gamers who have played this game or those who have played this game but never had the chance to finish it, and still give it a bad review. I have played many Final Fantasy games, basically thats my personal franchise i have been into ever since. We'll yet it is more of a movie, let me say this really clear "IT"S THE BEST MOVIE YOU"LL NEVER SEE" this game has perfect voice acting, more like every voice actor fits that character from young Tidus, to creepy Seymour, you'll fall into the story as it goes, and makes you wanting more of each character and how they all react to thier main goal, the animation is great pushing the PS2 to its great boundaries of rending true graphics on the ps2 like God or war, if not better! i liked Final Fantasy 7, and yet even this game made me think twice after that, and im still in a debate towards which one i personally like more, but again for all who say this game is more cinamatic, let me say, what game isn't now these days?, kinds like this game started it, but not really. Nough said.. go rent it, buy it, whatever, but this game is good in anyway, and i never wanted to play it until my cousin forced me to think twice. Thanks Rigo =)

listen to my story 2008-07-26

decent rpg, but falls short 2008-07-13
I have yet to finish this game, but from my hours of gameplay thus far, I can already make some evaluations of the game.

First of all, I am a fan of the battle system and method of learning new abilities and improving stats. I like how you are able to switch out characters immediately during battles. I find the red arrow on the map helpful when trying to delay story progression in order to find items and explore the area.

Despite these enjoyable features, I do find many things I dislike with this installment of final fantasy. For one, I dislike the characters- immensely. Yuna is the cliche, innocent, kind, beautiful character- similar to Aeris or Rinoa, but much more annoying and unlikable. Her lines and mannerisms are aggravating (and I am sure I am not the only one disgusted by the benevolent caress she gives Valefor when summoning!) Tidus is also quite aggravating- but he at least has his moments of humorous stupidity. I also find Wakka's Jamaican-like accent a little unsuitable for his character. The most likable character is Lulu, though her cleavage is quite alarming.

Final Fantasy X seems focused on the plot and the massive amounts of cutscreens are done wonderfully, yet leave me longing for more gameplay time.

For all this, I have to say Final Fantasy X ranks as the lowest Final Fantasy game I have played thus far (though I am led to believe that FF X-2 is even worse!)

After games such as FFVII and FFIX, FFX remains a woefully inadequate successor of the FF title.

One of the greatest games I've ever played. 2008-07-13
Final Fantasy X was released on the PS2 seven years ago and to this day it still doesn't disappoint me. In fact, this was my first Final Fantasy so its very special to me. This game influenced me to buy all the previous Fantasies and of course the ones after it up to FFXII.

Plot: This is probably the backbone of any Final Fantasy ever created. Every previous game before FFX has amazing stories and this installment definitely doesn't disappoint. You start the story as Tidus, a rising star in the fictional underwater sport of blitzball. From there you travel into several places, some vast and some small, but each place in this world has its own purpose. The character development in the story is also awesome and each character has its own use, although I must say that Rikku and Auron are my ultimate favorites :)

Graphics: Well any Final Fantasy veteran should know that every recent installment is graphically better than the previous one and FFX definitely delivers. Facial expressions on the characters are now installed (like lips moving) since the characters are now voiced! Can I get a hallelujah??? Now the voice-acting is kinda goofy at times but meh.

Music: Pshh...I feel like I dont even have to cover this part since Nobuo Uematsu is composing the music, but lets just leave it as awesome, okay?

Gameplay: Okay the new CTB-system of FFX is probably the weakest point of the game. Why?? I feel like it gives the game a slower feel than the ATB-system but it is more strategical. The sphere grid takes the place of the usual leveling system in usual RPG's and it is definitely the most innovative thing Square has ever come up with in their games. It's fresh and unique, and its probably one of the best things in the game. It is kinda complicated at times but when you get it, you get it.

Difficulty: If you play just the linear game, then I'd say its pretty easy. If you do the numerous sidequests in the game and the optional places (like the Omega Ruins) then you better start training hard. :)

Overall this is a great game to play. I really liked it and I recommend it 100%.

Third Best Final Fantasy 2008-06-25
Final Fantasy X is third on my final fantasy favourites list. To this day I will pick this game back up and play through to the end. Great game overall. The story is what makes this game one of the best. There are a few too many cut scenes, but the overall game is worth the intrusion. Trust me, at the end of the game you will be ready to sit back and watch the rest of the story unfold. One small problem is the hoops you have to jump through to get everyone's ultimate weapons. If I wasn't an avid gamer, I would have burned the game and stomped the ashes into the ground. Most of the sidequests were entertaining. I especially liked blitzball, although I know most people played it the bare minimum.

Overall a great game that will be remembered for a long time.

To much effort on character voices than on actual game play 2008-06-17
It's a great game but I miss that ability to revisit past location after your character has grown more powerful. Still had a great time. To much effort on character voices than on actual game play. Jody Bissoon
