Although i'm a huge fan of Britney Spears, but honestly, this game is really boring and preety bad.... i can finish playing this game in 2 hours !! Everything level is nearly the same, except the dancer standing next to you and the background music. If you're a britney fan, i know you really want to buy this game, but.....think it very clear !!

Nothing like the PS2 version 2004-01-07
I have seen screenshots and videos of the Playstation 2 version and was excited about getting the PC version, which I assumed would be mostly similar. I never buy game systems and didn't have a PS2. I was highly dissapointed when I got the game home. Don't get me wrong...it's not a bad game, it just pales in comparison to the PS2 version. The graphics and video clips are horrible quality, unlike the PS2 version which has superb graphics. And the way you play is different too. The circular thing that looked like a radar is gone and has been replaced by arrow blocks that fall from the top, along the side like tetris blocks. The game is too easy, and lacks a lot of the features the PS2 version has. A major letdown for me was that it didn't support controller input and that the video in the background, the keys, the moves, and the music weren't in sync. You have to completely ignore the beat or it will mess you up. I actually know some Britney dance moves and these aren't it...at least not in the right songs. There are Baby one more time moves in with I'm a slave 4 U. The different rating for moves such as: good, perfect, and miss are nowhere to be found. To top it off, the girl speaking doesn't sound anything like Britney at all.

Lots of fun 2002-12-26
I bought this for my daughter and i'm the one sitting here playing it. We are big Britney fans in our house so that alone makes the game fun because you get to listen to Britney songs and watch some videos. Auditioning to be one of Britney's dancers is challenging, but lots of fun. My daughter hasn't gotten to see the game yet because i installed it when she was sleeping and now I'm anxiously waiting for her to get up so she can see it. She's going to love it! I highly recommend this game!

Not even one for the fans... 2002-07-31
PC version reviewed.

Let me start by saying that I am a fan of the Konami 'Bemani' style rhythm games, and enjoyed Bust A Groove and Dancing Stage immensely. However, I was not prepared for the totally boring and poorly produced mess that is Britney's Dance Beat for PC.

The game begins with your choice of dancer, and you can then move on to attempting to audition to become one of Britney's support dancers. Once you have successfully auditioned, it's off on the road with Britney for the performances. If you clear all stages, you get to dance off against Britney herself.

Each audition and each performance consist of groups of arrows scrolling down the left side of the screen. To successfully execute a dance move, you must complete up to three combinations of up to three keys (the arrow keys and space) at the right time, when the keys appear in the 'targeting bracket'. When dancing against Britney, there are no timing errors allowed, your moves must be exact.

Each time you clear a stage, another backstage video of Britney is unlocked in the video vault.

Lastly, there's a freestyling mode, where you are able to perform any of the available dance moves, and indeed choreograph your own dance routine.

Now, the problems with the game. One problem is that the timings of the keypresses weren't always in time with the beat. It often helped to not listen to the music when timing keypresses! The presentation is very sloppy. It doesn't feel like you're dancing at a concert in front of thousands of people in the concert stages. The backgrounds are very simplistic, and don't do a good job to convey a sense that you're actually in any of the exotic locations the game claims to represent.

The worst problem by far is that the game is far too easy, and the game can be finished and everything can be unlocked by an average player in under one hour. The game start out being VERY easy, and doesn't get much harder. It's all too easy to clear every stage in the game without missing a step.

After seeing the PS2 screenshots I was expecting some nice in-game graphics, but not so - they are terribly simplistic for a PC game. The videos are OK, but nothing special. After playing this mess, I'd be interested to see if the PS2 version is any different.

Avoid. Even if you're a fan you'll be disappointed.

This game is great, it has cool song's, video's, and I LOVE IT !
The cover of it is totaly different from the one you see above. Anyway's the cover you do get is much better, because the one you see up there is a drawn picture of Britney !!

I Love The Last Part Of The Ga,e Where You Get To Dance With Britney Herself !! And The Free-Play Is Soo Cool Too !! And The Remixes Of The Song's "Baby One More Time, Oops I Did It Again, Stronegr, I'm A Slave 4 U, & Stronger," Are Soooo Cool .....

The poster inside is so cool, and It's huge [Hight: 40 Inches / Lenght: 20 Inches] Thats Pretty Big For A Poster !! ... *

Oh and info when you play the game [If you haven't figured this out yet !] When you see a a bok and it's ba=lanke, [when you're playing the game] that mean you have to press the space button !!
The instructions are to use the 4 arrows, but if the bok is blank you press the space bar !! [Just incase you didn't know that !! ... *

* And To Unlock Video #9 In The Video Volt You Have To Answer 20 Question's Out Of 25 Question's Right In The "Britny Test" I Like To Call It !! ...

And I Defenetely Recomend This Game To Every Britney Spears Fan,
And Anyone That's Not A Britney Spears Fan !!

Well, I Hope This Review Isn't Boring, And That It Helped You Decide Rather You Wonna Buy It Or Not !!

***** BYE *****

It's A pretty good game 2002-07-22
I thought that Britney's dance beat had awsome graphics and great music like "I'm a Slave for You", "Overprotected","oops I did it again" and "Stronger" I think anyone you tries it will Love it. And you don't really get fustrated on this game like others. All in all It's a wonderful game!

The Britney Game 2002-07-16
I am a not huge Britney fan this is really a nice game after you dance you collect a video from the video vault which you can move a 360 degree camera which you can zoom in and out this is like Bust a groove. Well I say I give it a Five. Even other people who are not britney fans will like this game so get it................

Britney Has A Cool Game 2002-07-10
I personal like this game. You shouldn't buy this game unless you are a Britney fan, because they show her videos, play her music and you even dance with her.If you were a fan of Spice World you will like this game.(I liked this one better than Spice World.)One last thing, the cover to the box and the case booklet is a different pic.
