Digital Cameras 2006-05-17
I received a Lexar digital camera for Christmas 2005. The cameral drains the batteries and they will not hold a charge-even with the camera turned off! I have tried to get hold of a human with your company since December! I called the numbers on the little yellow card that came with the camera. I have listened to your stupid recording to "hold for the next available assistant" until I am blue in the face. Your product and service sucks.

Mac OS X 10.2+ driver found! 2004-01-04
The missing driver that makes this piece of work, well, work on Mac OS X 10.2.+ can be found here:

Amazing! Works with eTrex GPS, Street Atlas 6 and Mac OS X 2003-08-31
Switching over to Mac OS X (10.2) from OS 9 was fearful because I thought there was no GPS supported mapping application in OS X.

Well, to my complete surprise, with the eTrex GPS connected to the iConcepts USB-Serial adapter, Street Atlas 6.0 running in Classic mode found the GPS and is more stable than in OS 9.2.2!
I am not sure which driver is being used - the native OS X driver or the OS 9 Extension - I am guessing it is the OS X (10.2) native driver since I have extensions turned off for Classic.

The adapter is smaller in profile than others and is much cheaper - so buy a couple.

Works fine in Mac OS X 10.2.x 2003-07-08
Once you get the latest driver from the sakar web site (go to the support section), you'll be fine for mac os x 10.2.x.

the version of the driver that came in the package was too old (version 1.0.3), but the version 1.0.6 driver from the support web site made it work like a champ.

Don't like product 2003-06-18
I purchsed this adapter for use with a basic stamp module. I can't get the software off the disk even. Say its for mac OS x, but does not work yet. Looking for drivers online may not be the solution. I wasted 30.00. what a shame. I should have spend the extra 20 dollars for the keyspan usb serial port adapter.

Worthless for Mac 2003-06-16

FALSE CLAIMS ON PACKAGE 2003-05-08
This product DOES NOT work as advertised. The packaging claims that it is compatible with OSX 10.1 or above, and this is simply not true. After much web searching, I found an unsupported driver from a company in Taiwan that purported to make this adapter work with 10.2.x, but it did not.

This device is a terrible waste of your time and money. Avoid it.

Good luck getting it to work with Mac OS 10.2 or above. 2003-04-15
Make sure you can find version 1.0.4 of the PL-2303 driver from iConcepts before buying this adapter. The version which ships with the adapter is an older version and won't work with Mac OS 10.2. BTW, good luck finding version 1.0.4 of the driver. I found hits through google saying the driver was available at some point from iConcepts, but it's not there now (Their support site sucks too). Piece of advice, do not buy this adapter if plugging onto a Mac running 10.2. It's not worth the hassle.

Now I have an adapter which doesn't do anything but look pretty. It'll work fine with the classic environment and probably all the Microsoft OS's but does absolutely nothing with Mac 10.2.

Works in Win XP and MacOS 10.2 if you work at it 2003-01-03
Worked without any trouble in Win XP. Getting it to work on MacOS X 10.2 (Jaguar) required searching the net for drivers. The newest ones are out there and work fine.

No Stars Would Be A Better Rating 2002-09-04
The instructions (on the package and on the CD) are vague and not helpful. When I installed the driver for Windows XP (my operating system), my modem and scanner would no longer work. I had to spend several hours getting things right again. I definitely do not recommend this item as it is very unsatisfactory. I am returning it.
