Finally an "Extreme" branded game that is worth buying.

I think every PC gamer knows to avoid any PC games with the word "Extreme" in their game titles ever since the release of the famous piece of crab "Extreme Paintbrawl."
However, Kayak Extreme maybe the first, the last, and the only exception ever from the "Extreme" line of games.
Yes, the control is still somewhat slugglish and yes, there still aren't much option for you to adjust. But atleast this time the game does look good.
The water effect and the river scencery of the game stages are nicely rendered. I am not an hard core gamer myself. Ocassionally, I like to play some casual PC games after a full day of hardwork at the office (heck, you can even be play this at your office since all you need is a keyboard and an average 3D card). I personally feel quite relaxing playing this game. I just love those river secenery levels and the running water sound effect very much. I think they should make some of the levels or even do some game play recordings of this game into a screensaver and bundle it with the game for sale.
I really recommend this game to everyone. You have nothing to lose anyway since this game will never be sold over the price of $10. Why not give it a try. It's certainly not a game for hard-core gamers but for the casual gamers. But if you love beautiful looking PC games, you should definitely try this game out.
I give this game a 4 stars raning instead of 5 because it lacks of 2 players mode. A simple, casual, and non-resources-hungary game liks this one have no execuse not to incorporate a 2 player mode. Another major drawback is that this game won't work in WinXP. It only works in win95/98/ME and the company doesn't have any patch released for this game to make it works with WinXP.
