Better have a strong arm!

This massager certainly works well enough- but is really very heavy and awkward to hold. It does the job very well - with a variable speed which is nice. It is too bad it is so heavy and such an awkward shape. Makes it very difficult to hold on hard to reach places (like lower back and shoulders) for any length of time.
Hand-held massager 2008-06-05
This product is effective as a massager. It does the job of relaxing muscles., making one feel better. The only drawback is that because of the bulk (and weight) ,it's difficult to handle for self-massaging. It works better when another person handles the massager for you.
I've finally found relief for my constant lower back pain and at a great price!

For years I have suffered lower back pain, daily, as a result of being a victim of an intentional hit and run accident while riding a bike off road. Some days I couldn't stand up straight. I bought this unit about 3 weeks ago and for the first time in nearly 17 years have gotten relief from my lower back pain. I still wake up with the lower back pain, but a few minutes with this baby and I'm good for the rest of the day. No more walking stooped over and I only use it for a few minutes in the morning. It has even helped reduce the pain in my sciatic nerve (caused by said hit and run) which caused me never ending grief also on a daily basis. For the first time in 17 years I have radically cut down on the pain medication and am truly grateful that I discovered this unit. I can't compare it to the old unit others have, but I can highly recommend this based on the pain relief this has given me. I'm just sad it took me 17 years to find this! If this ever broke I'd buy another in a heartbeat. The pricing on this item is also an excellent value.
erases pain like magic - a must have! 2008-05-26
i'm a professional massage therapist, so i've tried lots of other products but none compare in any way to the homedics variable-speed percussion massager - it truly is a "must have" (not only because of it's inexpensive price) but because it's so effective and so easy to use! the percussive knobs are perfectly placed - not too close together nor too far apart, and they vibrate at just the right pace for creating maximum relief- not too hard and not too fast...but if you want to change it up, it comes with 3 different knob covers (to make them firmer or softer) and has 10 different variations of speed (gentler for sensivtive areas and stronger for those pesky places!)...but what i really love the most about it - is how well-weighted it is, and how easy it is to adjust the speed settings "while you're using it" plus, it's easy to handle, fits along the side of my neck just as well as it does between my shoulder blades or along my IT band...and best of all - it really works! so if you want something that will "melt away" your pain, and is easy to use and inexpensive too...then you absolutely "must" have this! it will serve you well, and you won't want to use any other massage tools ever again!

A massage at home instead of one at the Spa

I love to have a massager at home to relieve any pain (or cramp) at any given moment. That's why I bought the HoMedics PA-100. I love it, and as a matter of fact, I bought a second one for my daughter. My only problem is that it's a little too big and heavy for me to use it on myself. My arms really get tired if I use it for too long on my back. My daughter instead, has her husband to help her with, and she tells me she feels in heavens every time she uses it. So, go for it! It beats the price you pay for just one professional massage at the Spa.

This is one of the best for the bucks. Easy to use, adjustable, gives immediate relief for sore muscles due to postural or other stresses. Get one for yourself or as a much appreciated gift!

This massager, though not possesing as many features as my previous one, has surprised me with the power, and the duration of consistent use before it turns itself off..
For the inexpensive price, and for it's construction, I would definitely recommend this product....

Little big and bulky for me, but my boyfriend loves it especially after working out or playing sports. He'll put it on any achy muscle then fall asleep. Be careful cause it will get hot if you leave it on for too long.
