Gifts 2007-04-10
I have bought this DVD twice as gifts for a baby. The first time was for my Godson. He loved it, and started picking up words. Some of the words are not the same ones that we use but that's minor. The second time I bought it was for a friend for her baby's 1st birthday. Both the mother and the baby loved it.

Wonderful learning tool 2007-01-07
GREAT video for teaching your child the most common Spanish words. My daughter also loves "Brainy Baby - English". My only wish is that the company would have one video with the option of choosing which language you want to hear it in just as the Baby Einstein series does. Both Brainy Baby videos (English and Spanish) show the exact same footage but just with a different language. The company is out to get our money by getting us to buy two videos instead of one on the same topic - common words. Shame on them!

Baby loves....123 Cuéntame un cuento 2006-12-18
We are a hispanic family living in the US. When my baby was born, I received this DVD as a present, together with another one called 123 Cuéntame un cuento. My baby likes Brany Baby... but he LOVES 123 Cuéntame un Cuento. 123 Cuentame un Cuento

TOTALLY EXCELLENT IN ALL WAYS 2006-10-31
This DVD is totally excellent. FInally, I found a DVD that knows that you need to teach things on a gradient. Plus give the english for the word to avoid confusion. Plus give lots of pictures.

This DVD is not just for babies, it's for everyone, because that's how we all learn.

BUT I have a BIG problem with it - I went to order the 'rest of the series' and am dumbfounded that there is only one disk!!!! I was hoping to buy at least 5 and probably 10 more similar ones, each one building on the previous one, so that my husband and I can learn, as well as our children!

I recommend that Brainy Baby market this as for adults as well as children.

When will No. 2 be ready please?

An OK DVD. There are much better options now... 2006-10-14
Generally speaking, This DVD is OK. I used it with my oldest child... but not too much because it did not really manage to keep her engaged; and to be honest, I don't think that repetition of vocabulary words is the best way to learn a language. After all, that is not the way we learn to speak. Also, the music is not great... and the speaker, even if she has a good accent, still is not native...

The truth is that at the moment, there were not many other options out there, specially full-immersion DVDs or CDs.

Luckily for my second child, there are much better options available now, specially foreign productions. I am specially excited about a collection of DVDs by A LA VIBORA DE LA MAR that I discovered on a trip to México. I have been using them with my 2-year old for almost a year, and she absolutely loves them (these are full immersion DVDs, in fact, they were designed for Spanish-speaking babies... but they have worked wonders for my children who have developed an acute ear for the language)... I strongly suggest you check them out. They are now available through Amazon (at half the price I paid for them in Mexico!!) I have 4 titles and we love them all.

For older children 2008-05-31
Bought this for my 18 month old. He has no interest, would rather watch Plaza Sesamo (sesame street) or the Cantarima series. This is toward older children I assume.

Excellent dvd for baby! 2008-05-15
For those of you who want a bilingual child, starting early is the best way to achieve success. Brainy Baby is a great place to start!

Seems good but can't say for sure 2008-03-08
I bought this for my 21 month old daughter. She is in a bilingual class once a week with Boca Beth materials but this DVD got better reviews so I bought this one. She likes it but only for about 20 mins and then she asks to watch something else. Her attention span at the class is short too - maybe too much new stuff at once??

good video for a toddler and an infant 2007-08-25
My two year old and my 7 month like the video. The words are basic and are repeated enough so my two year old is able to follow with no problem. My toddler enjoys the video and I noticed that she is starting to repeat what is said in the video. Also she started using the sentences from the video on actual conversation such as pointing to the clouds and saying "Nubes blancas".

Good but not great 2007-04-25
My kids like this video, I don't love it, but it keeps them entertained for a short time. I do think Brainy Baby could have done a higher quality level of production for all their success.
