Simply awesome

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this CD. I love how it repeats itself -- so the first 15 songs include the sweet dialogue between Junior and his mom and the last 15 are just the songs.
Unlike another reviewer, our favorite song is "Bushel and a Peck," which is so sweet and low-key. These are great songs to put on when it's time to "quiet down" for a little while, in the time leading up to a nap or as you wind down for the evening. Songs are really easy to learn (esp after you listen to them for the 50th time -- and the 50th time is really just as great as the first), and so enjoyed by our little girl.
Thanks, Veggie Tales, for continuing to provide wholesome, God-centered stuff for our children!
Veggie Tales: Junior's Bedtime Songs

Anybody familiar with Veggie Tales would love this CD. It's Junior singing--what's not to love? As with all Veggie Tales media, it's a great way to introduce Bible stories & lessons to little ones. Warning--Parents are not immune from getting hooked on the lyrics!
Great lullabies for veggie tales lovers

My little guys love to listen to this at bedtime. After we say a prayer I turn it on and the 2 year old starts talking right along with it ... "Junior, it's time for you to go to sleep." Very sweet. As a matter of fact, the old one got scratched beyond repair so I just ordered a new one.
Great for boys!

My boys have listened to this tape, then cd, for 3! years now. It's soothing, and the instrumental background is great. Junior's mom sings to Junior and softly speaks to him a few times. Junior says things to his mom that my boys have said to me. It's very tender and very real. This cd's a winner at this house!
AMAZING LULLABY CD EVEN BETTER COMPANY

I bought this cd for my daughter when she was two and having a hard time sleeping on her own. It was the first of many veggie cd's we have purchased. The CD was and continues to be a source of great comfort for her. She still listens to it at bedtime.
My greatest find was the way Big Idea stands behind the products they sell (we bought three DVD's that are incompatible with the Disney Princess DVD player) and they immediatley replaced them and sent two books to make up for the trouble.
You cannot go wrong with Veggies, the music and videos have a strong Christian base so you know you do not have to worry about what your childrens will take away from them.
I would highly reccomend this and all Big Idea products to any parent!
A Sweet CD

As bedtime snuggle-partners go, a stalk of asparagus may rate only slightly higher than a porcupine or cactus. But Junior Asparagus, the VeggieTales cartoon, takes getting tucked in one step further. Together with his sweet-voiced Mommy Asparagus and a chorus of kid friends, he serenades with a 15-song slumber party that, come lights-out for little aspara-guy, severs itself into split-track format so at-home snoozers can sing along a second time. An intoxicatingly spare, simple "Twinkle, Twinkle" gives way to "Brahms' Lullaby" and the lovey-dovey "A Bushel and a Peck." Then the perfectly kid-friendly Carpenters' classic "(They Long to Be) Close to You" drifts us ever closer to dreamland before a six-song section of Christian lullabies crops up. Originals "My Day," "Thankfulness Song," and "God's Love" march us through a series of preschool tribulations, ponderings, and praises; and traditional songs "God Is So Good" and "Love Him in the Morning" set a compass toward the spiritual for final thoughts. But it's the last five tunes that slip listeners the heaviest dose of sleep serum. Mommy Asparagus's loving "One in a Million" and "All Through the Night" lead directly to the Land of Nod's doorstep, and the reassuring "Think of Me" rings the bell. Be it bedtime or not, count on kids 2 to 5 (and not just the cruciferous kind) cozying up to Junior and his jolly green band. The record that answers the prayers of parents seeking chill-out music for the churchgoing child has arrived.

Great songs to lull your little ones to sleep

When our 1-year-old gave us problems going to bed, we played this CD for her, and she went to bed every time. My wife and I loved Veggietales (and our 2-year-old does too) before we got this CD, and believe that this CD is worth every penny that one can pay for it.
Lisa Vischer sings very beautifully on this CD, and her voice puts my child right to sleep. The songs that Big Idea picked to put on this CD are probably the best songs that could be picked for a lullaby CD. The song "One in a Million" is probably the best song on this CD, IMHO.
A sweet recording for sweet dreams for your little ones

I was a fan of VeggieTales before I became a parent, and now that I have children (ages 1,2 & 4) I'm an even bigger fan, because my kids love the VeggieTales as much as I do. All three children go to sleep with this cd every night. Even the one year old tries to sing along with the first track "Twinkle, twinkle, little star" ("star, star, star" is how his version goes). The songs are sung by the character of Junior Asparagus (in his sweet, slightly off-key and wavery way) or by the character playing his mother, whose voice is very comforting. The arrangements are simple and lovely. My only criticisms (which are minor) are that track 3, A Bushel And A Peck, although a wonderful song that my kids have learned from the cd and sing to me & to each other, seems a little too peppy for a lullaby album. Thankfully, it is early in the line-up, and not too jarring. I also wish that the producers had included lyrics so I could've learned the songs, especially the original ones, more easily for singing along. Otherwise, I highly rate this recording for parents of young children - it's a bargain at only about [$$}.
