Monster Cable 126130 iCable for iPod 2008-06-26
I don't believe this is a Monster Cable product. The RCA connections didn't fit the female connection firmly.

What a bad product . . . and example of customer service! 2008-05-12
This is a long-time coming, but man is this product bad! The male piece that fit into the receiver either don't fully engage (like they did on mine) or if you get them to engage, when you try and take them off they actually disengage the female pieces from the receiver (like they did with my brother's who coincidentally needed a new receiver!). Apparently, there's a third option, where people actually get it to work. At least that's what I infer from the fact that some people wrote positive reviews for this product.

Well, I had it out with their customer dis-service department and they kept sending me the exact same piece that wouldn't work. After the third replacement cable failed to engage, Monster replaced it with another monster cable that works great . . . but it was $10.00 cheaper and Monster failed to adequately explain the price difference. The warranty person convinced me it was better . . . hell it worked . . . that's better! But, he was never able to convince me why they charged $10.00 less for a "better" cable. They never issued me the price difference! Maybe they thought I would want to keep the old cable that didn't work and we would be even?

I will still buy Monster . . . until I find a better cable out there, which I hope happens soon. Please let it happen soon!

Good strong cables 2008-03-05
Worth the slight extra over the standard cables. These are strong, thick and durable wires for the best sound possible. i would recommend.

Monster Ripoff 2008-02-02
Yes, these cables produce among the best sound you will get...from a cable. They do this at about 3X the price of cables with essentially the exact same production. Also, though these are gold plated and covered in sturdy mesh, the actual tips of these are horribly constructed by comparison. You have to very carefully jiggle the ends out of your stereo inputs by grabbing the tips or the wires will literally RIP out of the cables and you will eventually have a dangling wire or two sticking out of the side and now you have horrible sound. After about 17 months or so of owning these, they are now worthless. So buy something else.

this a ripoff for two reasons 2007-07-27
the first is that analog audio quality is not going to diminish over 7 feet of cable so there's no reason to buy premium quality cable. the second and more frustrating reason is that using the headphone line out to connect to a home stereo will result in terrible sound no matter what freakin cable you use. that is high level audio (amplified to drive headphone speakers) that then gets amplified again by your stereo. the result is clipped high-end and muddy bass. the reviewers that clain "pristine sound" and the like are either half deaf or monster employees. get an ipod dock connector to rca. it will send low level audio to your receiver and give much better sound.Cables To Go 35507 - iPod Dock Connector To 2 RCA Cable

Perfection at its best. 2007-07-10
I don't know what any of you are complaining about. The fact is, if you go to one of the other sellers here on Amazon, you can get the cord for 7.50 brand new, plus another 7 or so for shipping and handling. That's still HALF OFF of what you would pay in a normal store. And let me tell you, this cord is completely worth the 30 dollars that the rest of you paid for it, though you could have bought it like I did for cheaper. The RCA plugs are a nice, tight fit, the cord is heavy duty, and the sound quality is immaculate. DON'T EVER CONSIDER BUYING ANYTHING ELSE. EVER!

Excellant product 2007-01-15
Great monster product. ipod sounds great through my stereo receiver. I highly recoommend this item.

Works great! 2007-01-13
I use this cable to hook my big living room stereo up to my Airport Express so I can stream Air Tunes from my laptop wirelessly. It's an incredible set up. Monster Cables may be a bit more pricey, but I've always found them to be the best of quality.

Paid $34 at Best Buy for a cable that DOESN'T EVEN WORK.

Have always been skeptical of Monster Cable price points, don't buy them, took a chance.

As a matter of principle, this product sucks. (For $34, I'm waiving the "bad apple in every bunch..." rebuttal)
