Nice set of speakers for the price.

These speakers are certainly not Hi-Fi (I didn't expected them to be for the price I paid), but they are much better than the price may suggest. I had a pair of bookshelf speakers (AV123 X-LS) and a receiver (Yamaha rx v659) before I bought these speakers. I wanted cheaper alternatives to the more expensive AV123 speakers to build a HT system until I can afford them, and these speakers fit the bill perfectly. They sound good enough for the home theater application, and the center channel speaker fits perfectly on top of my CRT TV. And they are magnetcially shielded. The fit and finish is very decent for the price. I opened up on of the speakers to see what kind of crossover they used, and was surprised to see some real crossover network in there. I was expecting a cap or two on the tweeter, and nothing more. The electrical components they used for the crossover network are not audiophile grade, but good enough. The surround speakers lack some bass extension, but for the HT application, they are good enough especially if you have a decent pair of main speakers or a subwoofer. The center channel speaker seems to have a little more bass than the surround speakers.

It would appear that Amazon has a policy to bump people off who have pending order if it does not make them a profit. Although the same item is showing available on the website. This is dispite a wait period of over 2 months. Cannot rate the item since it was not delivered by amazon.
Stay away from AMAZON, they do not appear to be transparent in their dealings.
NO CABLE NOR USER MANUAL WITH THE SPEAKERS

I have ordered for this speaker system 2 months ago,received them after one month???(with 2 day shipping). NO cable and user manaul in the box. KLH customer service sucks big time. Always goes to answering machine and they neither call back nor answer e-mails. Will try to return the product to amazon. STAY AWAY FROM KLH PRODUCTS.
Amazon is failing its customers! 2005-12-24
I recently got an email from Amazon regarding the matter that the speakers that I ordered couldnt get to me for some weird reason. I noticed that the speakers were still been sold on your website but at $13 more than they were originally posted. Was this fare at all to get rid of my order and then increase the price up to $53 from $30 and then come up with an excuse on not to deliver the speakers to me?
Ever tried trying to get a hold of any one in Amazon? You will really really really disappointed..Can any one help?
