Editorial Review
Hang on - your network will soar when it is hooked up to NETGEAR's FS605! This powerful plug-and-play switch connects at 10 or 100 Mbps and makes it easy to link as many as five computers or peripherals to your Ethernet network. You'll experience maximum performance for 10 or 100 Mbps devices with five ports that automatically sense the correct speed while Auto Uplink on the ports adjusts for the different types of Ethernet cables. The FS605's sleek case has lights on the front for easy monitoring. Installation into your home network couldn't be simpler and, once powered on, it begins cool and silent operation - without an internal fan.

Bought it twice! 2008-03-06
Bought one last year. Works as advertised: no setup, just plug and go. No problems since then. So I just bought a second one for another location. No better approval than repeat business.

Plug and Play at it's best! 2008-02-26
This switch worked like a charm. I have a Belkin F5D7330 bridge / game adapter. I connected the belkin to my linksys wireless g router (using shared 64-bit WEP protection. Then I simply plugged in the ethernet connection to port 1 on this netgear switch and plugged in my downstairs desktop and my xbox 360 and voila! High speed internet downstairs without any holes in the wall or cables running across halls and stairways anymore. This is a much cheaper price to pay than wiring your whole house. What can I say? Plug it in. Works great. 2008-02-22
Does just what it says, no problems at all. Automatically sets uplinks, detects equipment, runs without human intervention.

Great little switch 2008-02-09
I hooked this up to my home network because we were running out of ports on the router. Worked fast and simple. Minimal setup and it actually looks kinda slick. No problems at all. Great deal.

Awesone Product 2008-01-07
I have many items that I needed to link to my broadband. Great way to do it!

NOTE.. this is NOT a router! 2008-07-01
Well I bought this thinking it was a router which it is NOT.. I had no clue what the difference was so I am making this review so others dont make the same mistake.. You have to have a ROUTER to make this work...

:-)

Excellent ,zero-configuration, quiet product 2008-06-10
This ethernet switch is excellent. There is zero configuration - you can plug any device into any port with any cable (crossover or regular) and the device will automatically configure itself correctly. If your devices are both full duplex, you'll get 200 Mb/s transfer speed. There's no fan, so it's completely silent.

I could not ask for a better product, especially at this price.

I should also note that I've been using Netgear products at home and work for years and I've never had one die. Their reliability (in my experience, anyway) is much higher than other brands like D-Link.

fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine 2008-06-02
its works just fine, do not overheat, in fact its no hot when you touch it, looks nice over my desk. im very happy with this product

I own three of these, plus one of the Gigabit version 2008-04-13
These switches just work and the price cannot be beat. I have alot of networked devices in my house so I have three of these and one of the Gigabit version. They are truly plug and play and couldn't be easier to install and use.

Works great 2008-03-31
Works great right out of the box. Just plug in whatever devices that you plan to use it with, plug in the power adapter and you're ready to go.
