Dusted this one off after 2 years of storage...

We've had this printer for quite a while now and it hadn't been used for over 2 years till recently. It's an above average to mediocre printer (Image wise), it's friggin' noisy, sometimes takes an age to print a doc. But the sole reason I'm giving this thing 5 stars (Apart from the fact that it still works) Is the fact that the Ink cartridges still had tons of ink in them! I'm so used to ink jet printers drying out after about 2 weeks-1 month of non-usage I simply wasn't expecting this thing to still have a usable ink cartridge in it, much less have it's nozzles totally unclogged after only one deep cleaning cycle. Let me repeat that; It hadn't been used for 2 YEARS, and the thing still had ink to spare.
In short, if you rarely use your printer, and have found that every time you DO use the bloody thing that you have to blow 30-70 bucks on a new cartridge, get this printer, you won't regret it.

Bought two i320's in 2003 for peanuts. Use one for business (I'm a Realtor) and one is used by my four children. Ink is cheap ($3.50 for black and $4.50 for color over the internet)and finally the one my kids use just broke. Never even cleaned the heads. I'm going to buy two more right now, one to replace the broken one and one for the wife. Great product!
STILL working great !!

Have had this for a long while and it still works great - the ONLY thing to warn others about is that the color ink does NOT flow through (but have had this a LONG while, so can't complain). I use it now for documents and letters, and for those that do NOT need full-color items printed.

Upon arrival via priority mail and connecting to computer, received error message. Tried to resolve with seller and onsight;but could not. Am returning printer for full refund. Seller agreed. Again very helpful and ready to satisfy the customer. Perhaps, damaged in shipment, not sure what occurred.

I bought this printer for 1 thing only: to print text which I do a lot of. 1 word-AWESOME. Cheap ink; i only replace the black since I'm only printing text. About 7-8 dollars; probably can get it cheaper if I shop around on the internet. Not thirsty. Reliable as hell. Supercheap printer. I occasionally clean the inkjet heads, etc. but barely spend any time on maintenance. It maybe a little slow on the warmup and a little noisy for some but I don't think so. I use XP by the way. I think I got it for 25 bucks with rebate. Hey, for that price.
I don't usually waste time writing reviews but this product was worth. Totally exceeded my expectations in every way.
To sum up: cheap; cheap ink; not thirsty; reliable;

The Canon Bubble Jet printer i320 gives you extra-ordinary 2400 x 1200 dpi resolution. High resolution means this printer can lay more ink down on the page, giving you brighter colors, exceptional detail and superb quality prints. The high-resolution print head combined with advanced Microfine Droplet Technology ensures you of crisp, high contrast prints and broad color range, even on plain paper. This gives you the most accurate dot placement, shape and density possible. Whether you print documents and/or borderless photos, your print quality is always consistent. Canon's advance printer head design lets the i320 accurately produce and place 5 picoliter droplets on the page. This drop size is used in every print mode to give you exceptional prints on plain paper and minimize graininess for best quality photo printing.
Great Value Printer

This was my first canon.
The set up was a breeze. I printed a lot of articles from online webpages and the quality was great. I did not use it for pictures though so I cannot talk about that aspect.
What was great was that the ink lasted a while and you could get cheap refills when you needed it. I usually got a generic at a local office supplies store or online whichever had the best deal going.
And finally buying it at an auction made it an even sweeter deal since I only paid a fraction of the retail price and it came new in box (w/out UPC symbol). I was lucky the seller had an included a USB cable for free with the i320 to make an even better deal.
Yes it was a bit noisy, it had a "pre and post printing noise", but that did not bother me since it did a good Job and saved me money.
I only changed canon printers because I gave the i320 to my parents and I bought an i350 because it prints faster which is more suited to my needs.

Bought this printer strictly for printing documents, receipts, and proposals from home-based computer business. It was cheaper than buying ink for a second printer I was using.
Don't expect miracles from this printer, but it does a great job on basic printing jobs. Oh yea -- make you have an extra USB cable laying around, because this printer does not come with one.
cheap ink tanks, good home use printer

i didn't give it 5 stars cos it started jamming after 11 months of use, which i think is no big deal cos almost all printers do that after such a long time.
An Excellent Printer with Easy Ink Refill Feature

Bought this printer for my daughter so she has her own printer along with the PC. No more files transfer from one PC to another for printing. For the price, print quality, and speed, no doubt, superb!
The starter ink cartridges run fast in fact however the very nice thing is that the ink tanks are very easy to be refilled! This means you can save a lot of money on the inks. You can find a ink refill kit at Sam¡¯s Club for less than $20 and it allows your canon ink tanks to be refilled for more than 20 times. My daughter loves this printer very much.
