Christina Aguilera Stripped Review 2008-12-28
Hello, I am just joing to tell you how these songs rank on my scale.

Stripped intro pt.1- It is a really cool intro, but it's a little risky for someone so sweet.

Can't hold us down- It is just like Vanessa Hudgens "Never Underestimate A Girl" except this song is worse and it has curse words.

Walk away- Good song, A little boring.

Fighter- AMAZING SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't feel like writing about the other songs. Here are just my favorites:

Beautiful
Fighter
Dirrty (ft. Redman)
Stripped pt.1
Stripped pt.2
Can't hold us down
The voice within

Brilliant! 2008-10-24
Every song on this CD is amazing. Brilliant lyrics...there are poppy songs, soulful songs, love songs...its great. BUY IT

not great 2008-08-04
brilliant it's not. it's not even great, but somehow it's worth buying. The album is bold, sometimes agressiv, sometimes sad, shows us a moment in her life that she was truly strugling to find her self. The result is 18 songs and 2 intros that variate from rap to pop and soul, giving you the bless of one of the most beautiful pop records ever released - the record "beautiful". If beautiful is not enough reason to buy the album, her voice definately is. From her first album to this one aguilera really improved in her vocal skills, earning comparison to one of the greatest voices of all time, whitney houston. Outside from "beautiful" and her voice it self the album is deeply honest, christina took part in every part of it's production, from writing and composing to producing it. If you are looking for a brilliant album, buy "back to black" from amy winehouse, "rockferry" from duffy or "not ready to make nice" from dixie chicks. If you like listening to powerfull vocalists or if you admire christina, buy this album, you won't regret it.

Not as good as Back to basics. 2008-05-19
As a singer I use Christina's material for my vocals. I don't love her music through and through but adore the song's Beautiful, Ain't no other man, Hurt and Candyman but all the other filler music is not usable for me and my vocals. Christina has a very sharp voice. It might do her best to do some more soft to the ear stuff but who am I? She still is an awesome singer though! This album only has one decent song, thats why I think I got it so cheap on Amazon.

Not what I was expecting 2008-01-23
This is a good cd, but it is nothing like what I expected. There's no doubt that Ms Aguilera is all grown up. Powerhouse vocals throughout. The tunes range from loungy cool, to powerful anthem, to all out pop. If you're expecting another pop cd that's all about dancing and boys, this is not it. But, if you're interested in strong vocals having something to say, this is a good cd to have.

Therapy For The Ears and Soul 2008-01-07
With songs like Fighter, Gonna Keep on Singing My Song, and The Voice Within this album is inspiring and empowering. Her voice is amazing. You can hear emotions through her many voices. I know that people already have made up their mind on her. I will say this AT FIRST I couldn't stand her I thought she was another blonde hair bimbo but when this album came out I realized she was not only intelligent, but has depth.

I think people misjudge her as being a Diva when in reality she was abused as a child and had a rough life so they mistake security with being cold. It could have been so easy for her to become another Britany BUT she didn't. She is underated.

Every song on this album has it's own little story and it's an album with meaning. In a world with rehab celebs and an heiress becoming little an idol for little girls people underestimate Christina Aguilera. Everyone judges her and look at her now married and having a child the right way. She seems more mature than her peers and has incredible talent. I can't say enough good things about her she is always doing what she feels is right and doesn't care what others think about her. Ok I could go on all day but the bottom line is:

"With a voice like that you should be considered a legend in the making."

One good song - the rest dont do her justice. 2007-12-29
She needs better material - try her newer albums. There is one great song on this = get it using amazons mp3 store.

The Emergence of an Artist 2007-11-08
Before the release of her second major LP, Christina Aguilera was an unsatisfied pop superstar. Although her debut album had sold well over 10 million copies the world over, her face a fixture in all the hottest magazines, and with legions of drooling fans, she knew the material she was singing muffled her gift.

Determined to become a true artist, she brings "Stripped," a defiant statement of sexuality, love, and self-confidence. Although clear on her first record, "Stripped" clenches Aguilera's grip as a premier vocalist. Displaying raw power and a range rarely seen in today's music market, Aguilera sweeps and swoons effortlessly on each track, dispaying extraordinary versatility with diverse subject matter. Songs like "Walk Away," a smokey, sinfully sweet ode to an addictive lover, and "Impossible," a strong R&B statement cowritten and produced by soulful songstress Alicia Keys, showcase an incredibly captivating singer. Aguilera's conviction to what she sings shows on each track, from anthemic rockers like "Fighter" to chilling, autobiographical songs of abuse like "I'm OK." Although created at the tender age of 21, "Stripped" provides the proper grown-up music suitable for Aguilera's grown-up voice.

The only qualm is that at 20 tracks, Aguilera gives slightly too much of a good thing. While still enjoyable, one may need more than one sitting to fully appreciate this great album.
