Great Product

I decided to start cutting hair for my husband and son and bought a clipper kit from Target priced at $30. It was horrible! I returned it and bought this one from Amazon. I love it and can tell that it is higher quality just from a few uses. I would definitely recommend this product.

Somehow USPS got things wrong and lost the package. Well they sent me another one and it just came in the mail, not too long after I explained what had happened. So big plus for customer care.
It looks like a great product. I have a very old wahl product that makes tons of noise compared to this. It provides alot of power.

Bought this for Xmas as a stocking stuffer & it was a bigger hit than the ones under the tree. His old one had gotten so bad he felt it was just tugging the hair out & that one was 3 times more expensive & lasted about 24 months with infrequent use. He loves to shave his head & this gives a quick clean shave that he really likes. He even trims his mustache & goatee. Lots of attachments that he doesn't use because he just shaves to the skin, so can't comment on the usefulness of those.

I originally got this to trim my beard. However, both my boys now let me cut their hair with it, they love their haircuts and it is still going strong. It is kind of heavy but I like that... feels durable!

I've cut my own hair for 18 years. Now I cut my 2 son's also. The clipper's are great. I threw away my old pair right after the first cut of the new clipper's.

easy to use kit 2008-03-26
So easy to use ... only careful about the length of the attachment you want to use. I usually get my hair cut with scissors. But once I got the "Wahl 79524 26-Piece Deluxe Hair Clipper Kit" it's even easier and smoother and looks so nice. A person who did never cut hair used this kit - of course guide them properly - and I got my hair cut so nicely.
The video guide was useful but not relay elaborate or so educational. But if you watch couple of times you may get the idea.
Overall I am happy, I got paid my money back with the two hair cut I had.
It also helps to trim the beard

First impression: as other reviewers have stated- "Wow this thing is heavy! It must be professional grade! And look at all these cool accessories!"
Upon closer inspection: the "chrome" part is just a silver painted area of the cheap plastic shell. I dont know what makes this trimmer so heavy, but quality definitely plays no part. Also, the accessories are a joke- they are made from some kind of super thin and brittle plastic that holds up under only the most gentle treatment. I threw away the scissors after I discovered that they would not cut paper, let alone my thick red hair.
Oh- and the cheapo little storage box it all comes in; I challenge anybody to fit all the accessories back in there (without breaking any of them) and post the video! I am not sure it is even possible.
Actual performance: The clippers worked tolerably well once. Even that first time was rough going, constantly having to stop and unclog or re-oil the blades- but at least they worked. By the second use however, they were starting to get dull so it took almost an hour to trim my hair back to an even 3/4". On the third haircut a screw rattled its way loose and since then I have to tighten it 3-4 times per haircut or else it rattles loose and the trimmer starts to sound, and cut, like a lawnmower.
The good:
-a cheap, all inclusive hair trimming kit.
The bad:
-You have to really work to get it to cut evenly, making numerous passes
-accessories are a joke.
-trimmer is heavy and LOUD!
-blades dull very rapidly
-trimmer vibrates excessively and may shake itself apart
Better than expected for the price! 2008-02-22
This set of clippers is great. First of all let me say that I am a black man who cuts his hair every two weeks and keeps it very short.
My wife and I team up to cut my hair and it comes out fine. The clippers look very attractive and feel very sturdy in my hands. However, they are a little on the heavy side for my wife.
We have not had a problem with hair getting pulled or any uneven spots. The only complaint that I have (and this may be more an issue of my hair than the clippers) is that it leaves my edges a little bit higher than the rest of my hair - we have to cut my edges at a lower setting in order for everything to be level.
The DVDs that come with the set are pretty lame, but can provide a few minutes of laughter for the family! This kit comes with everything that you could need, a brush to clear loose hairs, an apron, oil, scissors, clips, a few different combs, and a lot of guards for different length cuts.
I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to maintain their hair and save money!

The clipper is working well with suggested adjustments before use.The combs were not stiff enough to be of service so I am using my old comb out of the old set.The clipper has cut as hoped for and came at a price that I could live with.My mother inlaw spoke highly of the clipper brand.
