It's pretty good

This magazine is good because most of the articles are written by girls. When I first got this magazine from the library, I thought everything was written by adults, but then I looked at the first page (I usually read magazines backwards.) This magazine features informative articles about cool things. Sure, it doesn't have anything about fashion,celebrities, or boys in it (most of the magazines I read do), but that's what makes it original. The only things about this magazine I didn't like is that in the letters to the editor, there were some very strange things. Like there was 1 letter about a "girl" who was transgendered and there were letters about girls who wanted anti-gay things to never be published in the magazine. New moon is also VERY expensive! It is $5.50 an issue! Plus tax! So, if you want to get this magazine, I reccomend getting it from the library like I did.

This magazine is really good, because it's supportive of women and girls. There are no models in this magazine, and a lot of people say it's sexist, but in my opinion, when a model is in a magazine that tell you to be yourself, isn't that kind of hypocritish? Besides, if you want to look at models or read about celebrity's you can always read the other magazines.
I like New Moon because it talks about real problems in the world,and not just having a boyfriend.
This magazine also celebrates inner beauty. It doesn't talk about make-up much but that doesn't mean that New Moon is against it!

I really like this magazine because girls can speak their minds in it. This magazine says "be youself". It's also good for the enviroment because it uses recycled paper.
Also this magazine focuses on cultures all around the world. For eack magazine there is an article about a different country.

I love this magazine! I love how the main message is "be yourself!" It has no advertizments and it doesn't say you have to be beautiful to be happy. I'm really tom-boy, and alot of other magazines make you feel like "normal" girls are obsessed with IMing, fashion, makeup, and boys! I hate those magazines! Read " A TOTAL SUCKER!!!!" another review of this magazine, it says that "normal" teenage girls, have crushes, and hate to be out of style! Am I like that? NO WAY! This magazine is just right, it has probably 1 TRUE artical about that stuff, but it's not really flirty or something! GET THIS MAGAZINE!

This magazine makes girls who feel geeky and nerdy bad, and girls who are normal teens who have crushes, and like to stay in style, terrible! Plus, this magazine is sexist! It doesn't have models anywhere, because it says that it makes girls feel bad! If you want a magazine that is good and inspires, read American Girls, or Girls Life!
Best buy for your money 2008-04-24
With all the celebrity, fashion, unhealthy publcations out there for girls - New Moon magazine is the best buy for anyone's money - with articles written by girls and topics girls really want to talk and learn about. And cover to cover reading as there are no ads!!
New Moon Magazine is Perfect for girls 2008-04-24
My daughter absolutely loves New Moon magazine! She waits for it to come in the mail and then spends days reading the letters (from other girls around the country) and loves to read the Dear Luna letters out loud to me. This is the most positive, supportive publication for girls out there. It's smart, beautiful, and best of all my daughter loves it.
Breath of fresh air! 2007-05-01
In a world where girls are pressured to conform and fit in, this magazine celebrates girls differences! What a beautiful thing! It boosts their self esteem, gives them articles on real topics they can relate to (not just boys and make up) and makes them think (what a novel idea!). Their articles are creative, fun and funky. My daughter can't wait for this magazine to arrive. I love seeing her read about how girls live in other countries instead of how to get a boy to like you back. These are the important things we should be teaching our girls. Kudos to New Moon! It's worth the hefty price tag.

New moon is an okay magazine, but some of the articals might bore you like about "Duck Tape fan." or something like that, it is sort of like a school magazine that teachers might want you to ONLY read in their class, but some of the stuff is good, I am a magazine freak and I have all the Discovery girls issues and it is nothing like new moon, New moon has facts about not be mean but "Dead people." and that is just really boring. I suggest this magazine to a History fan or a science fan, because it is for you.. Discovery girls atleast has Celebrity interviews and makeup and things about crushes, and reader art and cool stuff, but this magazine has things like:
1- a topic about stuff that is annoying and one girl was saying that she was not ''gay.'' but always was holding her friends hand.. :0 it is gross...
2- a fan of duck tape, it shows a picture of girl having tuck tape all over her.. Creepy..
3- Wierd musems.. Uh sigh, boring!
I tried out this magazine thinking it was just what I needed, yeah right, it was boring, the only part I liked was the letters and the comics,
I suggest getting a subsription to BOP or discovery girls, because you wont enjoy this!
PLUS it's 5.50! I am so mad because I wasted it on this Crud.
I am 13 and this the second worst magazine I've read!
The magazine for any girl is Discovery girls, and my favorite issue is august/september 2004 because Taylor Dooley is on it.

All Girls Should Read This! 2006-09-18
I'm a senior in high school and I started reading New Moon when I was [...] Some reviewers have been writing that this magazine is somehow "innappropriate" for younger girls (because it talks about periods sometimes). I got my period when I was barely out of elementary school, and this magazine helped A LOT, since I was the first of my friends to get it. I can assure any parent who might be concerned that any information given in New Moon is appropriate for girls 8 and up.
