Starting Our Second Year With Zoobooks

We subscribed to Zoobooks for our son as a gift for his birthday last year. He loved borrowing copies from the school library and has always been extremely interested in animals. I knew that Zoobooks was high-quality and no advertising, so it would be money well spent. He has loved getting the magazine each month and makes a point of marking the calendar when one issue arrives so he can count ahead and know when to expect the next one. He reads every issue cover to cover, again and again, and is proud of his collection. As it's getting close to his birthday this year, he made a point of telling me that he would really like to keep getting Zoobooks, so we have renewed our subscription for another year. I highly recommend this magazine.
THE BEST books to capture interest 2007-05-06
I have been buying these for years thru a Teachers Supply store and using them in HomeSchooling. These can be used for all ages because the pictures are so dynamic and colorful - little ones eyes are glued and the teenagers (even if not interested in animals and science) get drawn into reading the fasinating facts and information. Adults pick them up and read them from cover to cover.

I LOVE ZOOBOOKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have 18 zoobooks and there are 60 of them.
Zoobooks have great pictures and packed with info.
If you don't have zoobooks I recommned it!
You get 12 issues for a year,and when your done you get a FREE zoobook, a free animal poster,and stickers.

For animal lovers young and old, Zoobooks is a treasure! Anatomical illustrations of each animal are my favorite. The facts included in each issue are wonderful and encourage further thought and discussion.

Simply written and beautifully illustrated. Each monthly issue "captures" one of 60 different animals through magnificent photography, illustrations, diagrams, descriptions and includes interactive activity pages. Kids get "up close and personal" with the world's most amazing creatures.
Zoobooks 2005-11-03
My 6 year old son loved this magazine. His eyes would light up whenever the magazine would arrive in the mail. The colorful photographs and fun facts about lots of types of animals made the magazine fun to read for both he and I.
Zoobooks is the Encyclopedia of Animals 2005-09-17
An easy to read format for the budding animal enthusiast with activities for subscribers online and inside the middle section of the magazine.
The magazine arrives about the fifteenth of each month, and not fast enough for my ten year-old son. We have been getting a subscription for about five years now. Each issue focuses on one subject with no advertisements and seventeen pages in each issue.
Inside each issue of Zoobooks the first page gives a brief overview of the profiled animal alongside a photograph that is covering two pages. The ages of the drawings and poems from kids range in age from six to eleven, showing a wide age range that Zoobooks attracts. The text is geared for adults and children with beautiful photographs and artistry nestled inside this thin monthly magazine.
At first it might seem like not much for the money but it is just enough to keep the interest of a child, offering many visits back to issues to see the beauty in each animal. My son loves this magazine. He is an animal lover and on the autism spectrum.
A treasure to keep 2004-09-22
I hope this magazine hasn't changed from when I got it as a child 20 years or so ago, because I dearly loved it then. It's not so much a magazine, with different articles and recurring features, as a vividly illustrated report on a different group of animals each month. (I wore out the binding on my "Alligators and Crocodiles" issue.) The beautiful drawings are both fun to look at and packed with information -- when I was taking biology courses in college I realized my old Zoobooks spreads of, say, "all the parrots of the world" had given me an intuitive grasp of comparative adaptation without my realizing I was learning anything. Be warned -- if you get this for your child, you may have to listen to all of the things she has learned about monkeys for months at a time!
The Best Magazine For ALL Animal Lovers!! 2004-01-02
This magazine is great for the animal lover; fantastic photography, amazing facts, and fun activities! This magazine has absolutely no advertisements and is handy to have around if you have an animal report or project (it has facts that I have never ever known before!)to look up in for information. This magazine has beautifully illustrated diagrams and full color photographs! A DEFINATE MUST-HAVE FOR THE ANIMAL LOVER!!!!!
