They really served their purpose!

We needed an inexpensive way to store lots of wood in the garage. So, we purchased the 6-pack to make an 8-foot (full face cord) log rack. The brackets are VERY sturdy and the log rack was simple to put together -- used two links for the 4-foot side rails, and slid two underneath the two 2x4's in the middle for extra support. Side rails were a little wobbly, so used the remaining two links at the top of the 4-foot side rails for added strength. Since the log rack will be used to store wood in the garage during the winter, I wanted to be able to easily disassemble it this spring -- the only thing that has screws is a 2x4 across the back (attached to the back two side rails) to brace it against the wall. I'm extremely pleased (and ended up stacking much more than a face cord!)
Love This Shelf System!

I bought this shelf system to make storage shelves for a spare room. I'm not really that experienced in working with tools or building things. Because of that, it was a challenge for me to put this together, but it was worth all the effort. The end product turned out to be so sturdy, and I wasn't afraid of putting too much weight on the shelves. I've just purchased another set to build a second shelf for storing books on. Originally I bought book shelves from Office Max, but the shelves sag and warp from the weight of the books over time. I don't anticipate any similar problems with this product. It is a project to buy the 2x4s, cut them and assemble this shelf system, but the price is right and if you want sturdy shelves, you can't go wrong here.
Finley Products ShelfLinks - Best at garage shelving

Absoulutely the best way to build custom shelving in your garage. I organized my two car garage and built a workbench using less than $200 worth of materials (shelflinks and 2X4's). Shelflinks are easy to use and make very stable sturdy shelving. Now I can fit all my stuff and two cars in my garage.
Easy to build!

Quick, Easy wayt to build sturdy shelves. To have more choices of configurations you may want to buy more than one unit at a time. Then you can build more shelves on each unit.

I have been purchasing this product for a third year in a row.
I tried it first in my home and now I offer it to all my clients to solve their storage problems. It is basic, sturdy, durable and very efficient. I have also purchased the working table, it is amazing how easy it is to build it!. Good product!!

Used for a firewood stand
2007-11-11
I bought these instead of forking out 200.00 for a steel firewood bin. Unless you have a keen mind for 3D, it will be hard to explain my problem. I had anticipated a 12 foot firewood bin, with the support 2X4s on end so that the grain of the wood on the base would support the firewood. These aren't designed to allow for that... they are designed for the 2x4s to be flat, which will warp and break unless they are flat on the ground, which defeats the whole purpose of trying to get the wood up off of the ground. I ended up having to cut two of the brackets in half and screw them to the uprights to get them to work. They may be fine for a garage storage shelf, but there are better products out there for an outdoor firewood bin that will be subjected to the weather.
Building shelving couldn't be easier

The hardest part about building these sturdy shelves is choosing how high to build the unit. Otherwise easy as pie if you are comfortable with a circular saw.
I bought 6 boxes of these sets.........

I love them, but in stead of using 2x4's for the shelfs, I upgraded and used 2x8's instead, they are stronger and it was a little cheaper. I sided my whole side of garage with them, and still had some pieces left over. The side I did was like 17 feet long. I got rid of a lot of junk as well as organized the rest. I was able to shelf over my Shopsmith Mark V and it fits right in the hole I made for it. I'd get more if and when the need arises. You should too! If you used real nice wood and took the time to sand and stain, this could make a niece inexpensive entertainment center for your home theatre system too.
Durable & Easy to Build

I bought 4 of these units last spring from Amazon for less than $18 each with FREE shipping, and I have no regrets. Built my shelves 6'H x 4'W using 10 2x4x8's per unit @ 1.88 per stud. The shelves I built with the help of this product should last for many generations. Thanks Finley.
