Editorial Review
At 7 pounds, and featuring a Milwaukee-built 11-amp motor, the 6509-22 Sawzall reciprocating saw offers exceptional power to weight ratio and renowned durability. Other upgrades to the 6509-22 include a 0 ??? 2800 SPM variable speed trigger with 3/4-inch stroke length; a Quik-Lok blade clamp for fast, tool-less blade changes; a rubber boot for superior gripping; an adjustable shoe for longer blade life and more cut control. a double bearing wobble plate mechanism and lighter spindle for less vibration; all-round bushings; and a larger gear for longer life. Blades may be clamped upside down for special cutting needs. The tool is double insulated and has a heavy duty "S" jacket 8 foot two-wire rubber cord. It uses standard half-inch shank Sawzall blades and is ideal for general contractors, plumbers, electricians, builders, HVAC, steel fabrication, remodeling, deck building and plant maintenance applications.

Definitely a Cut above 2008-06-24
I've been doing a lot of work on my house for the past few years. Whenever I would get some spare time, I was replacing baseboard or stair treads with oak. I never had a sawzall, so I was really making a lot of extra work for myself. I finally purchased the Milwaukee reciprocating saw and I couldn't be happier. The blades snap in and out easily, the speed of the blade is easily controlled by the trigger switch, and the motor is powerful enough to get the job done. I wish that I would have bought this years ago.

Excellent well balanced saw 2008-06-13
The saw was a replacement for an 18yr old DeWalt which bit the dust. In comparison to the DeWalt the Sawzall is much smoother and better balanced.

Product as advertised 2008-06-12
This product had received a lot of excellent Amazon feedback. My feedback is the same as the others. Completely satisfied with the product. I am a casual user - when it is called upon it sawz very well.

The sawzall is one of the essential tools in my toolbox. 2008-05-20
I bought the 6509 when I broke the screw down chuck on my very old, hand-me-down, blue saw. It wasn't worth the cost to repair, so I bough the Milwaukee. I guess all of the new saws have keyless chucks now. The chuck on the Milwaukee is easy to use and grips the blade securely. I don't hesitate to change the blade when it's dull and used up, or when I change materials. I also store the saw without a blade even though the case doesn't require that. (I didn't like the keyless chuck on the yellow saw. The flip lever is plastic, and will eventually wear out or break.)

The 3/4" stroke length is shorter than my old saw, but it's not really slower with the right blade. Using the right blade for the material being cut is very important. Vibration may be a little better with the shorter stroke, and that's good for accuracy and ease of use.

I strongly recommend having an assortment of blades in various lengths. If you're seriously cutting, buy multipacks. A sharp blade makes a tremendous difference. Also, use the correct length blade for your job. Too long, and you may cut something you don't want to damage. Too short, and you can't bend the blade when you want to cut flush or blind.

I wish the trigger had a lighter spring, or a trigger lock, or a longer area to squeeze with 2 fingers. My hand does get a little tired holding the trigger with one finger. Perhaps the spring will relax a little over time. I'd also like a little longer throw for better variable speed control.

The lighter weight is welcome when cutting overhead, at awkward angles, or one handed, but there's still plenty of power. Solid metal and thick plastic make for a very well built saw. I also like the plastic case with metal latches very much.

If you do demolition all day long, then perhaps a heavier saw with more features would be appealing, but I'm very happy with the 6509.

THE BEST 2008-05-15
I use this saw all the time and it is one of the BEST power tools that i use daily.

Love this tool! 2008-07-17
Powerful, durable, easy to use, comes with nice storage case. The tool has the feeling of good quality and design. This was my first Milwaukee power tool, so I was a tad nervous when ordering, but I am now very glad I did.

Destroys Like a Charm 2008-07-14
I have had this saw for a little over a month now and have used it to destroy several items made up of wood, metal, and plastic. It is light, has low vibrations, and good power. Definitely recommend it.

Milwaukee Sawzall 2008-07-12
Only used 1 time so far but that experience was great. Easy to change blades, easy to use, and good trigger control. I recommend this tool highly.

11 amp sawzall 2008-07-06
Milwaukee is known for their reciprocators, which is why I purchased this one for a basement remodel. I have used it about 6 times thus far. 5 successes and one failure. I attempted to cut up inch thick fiberglass ceiling tiles about 5 at a time (for easier disposal) - the blade got stuck in the tiles repeatedly. I wouldn't have thought that w/this maching. It has cut off nails and 2X overhangs w/o much effort. Good saw, but not a true saws-ALL:)

Great Little Saw 2008-06-26
My wife got me this saw for father's day. Wow, it made cutting branches from an overgrown tree so much easier!
