Great Speakers!

I have had these speakers for about 6 months now and have really enjoyed them. No, they aren't perfect, but I think they are excellent for the price.
Great for the price 2006-11-30
I've had these speakers since April or May of 2004. I rarely ever turn them off, as my pc is on pretty much 365 days a year. I've never had any sort of problem with them, they always work flawlessly. The only downside to this set would be the lack of mid-range. This can be solved however, as others have stated, by adjusting the eq with a program. This doesn't bother me, and I assume it wouldn't bother most people as well. I'd recommend this set-up for anyone looking for a well designed system with a lack of desktop space in mind.
Perfect Gaming Speakers for the price 2006-06-07
I got these speakers For 80$ in 2005.They were very easy to hook up to my computer.I was absolutely stunned by how clear the sound was.I use them all of the time.These are the games I play with these speakers.Hitman Blood Money,Battle Field 2,Doom3,and F.E.A.R.It sounds awsome on F.E.A.R. So if you are a gamer who wants to save money but still get GREAT sound from your speakers THESE ARE FOR YOU!

Beware - these speakers gave out a little over a year after we bought them - conveniently after the warranty ran out. We've read lots of reviews on other sites listing the same problem, but Creative won't recognize it. Not worth it.
Subwoofer busted way before Harmon Kardon

The Harmon Kardon 2.1 still standing in the other room came with pc the year of 2001, the I-Trigue 3300 was bought at store in 2003 and gave out on the subwoofer - considering I wear headphones most of the time, durability with this product is doubtful.
Same thing happened with Creative mp3 player - no lasting enjoyment. Bad customer support. Not worth it.

These are very good speakers for gaming, and full range Mighty Wurlitzer recordings--highly detailed rank definition during playback--using That's Entertainment (Chris Elliot, cuts That's Entertainment and Danse Macabre), but I found them a bit too bright for The Eagles Hotel California (cuts Hotel California and Life In The Fast Lane) and likely the recording was at fault (a digital remastering) of Brahms 4 Symphonies by Karajan as it sounded tinny and thin with the 3300s. All the above were more listenable to me on CLs Inspire 3100s, with single cone midrange and tweeter satellites while I'll switch back to until my Logitech Z4 gets here and then give that a try. So...CL I-Trigue...you get a "Close, but no cigar!" from me.
Nice Design, Great Bang for Buck!!! 2008-07-11
I bought these speakers to replace my Logitech X-230 speakers. The speakers have much better bass response than the Logitech ones do. They also have a more sleek design. The only drawback is that the mid range isn't quite as good at low volumes. This can be compensated by using a EQ in I-Tunes. Another advantage over the Logitech speakers is that the volume control also adjusts the level when you are wearing headphones. Previously I had to change the volume in Windows (what a pain). Over all, I am very happy with the speakers, and when you factor in the price, there is no comparison!!!

I am an audiophile and was looking for improvement(not perfection)
using Microsoft media player for jazz and classical music,not games.
I am not disappointed. The midrange limitations are adequatly handled
with the equalizer. Highs are fine. If you ramp-up the woofer it is
definitely muddy but at normal levels it is fine.

compact speakers/great sound 2007-08-31
Great sound. Speakers are small and compact. Downside, speakers are top heavy and tip over easily. They should add weight to the base.
