Teaches kids lessons and provides fun time while educating

Lots of fun, good reading and some good advice. I'll definitely renew this subscription. It has lots of interesting things for kids to do and occasional sections with examples of situations where kids acted their best or not their best. Teaches kids to make thought through choices and ways to better themselves.

I am seven years old, (almost 8), and I really like Highlights because I really enjoy the crafts in each issue. I also like the cover page that tells all about what's inside the magazine. I think most kids would really enjoy this magazine.

My husband and I have three cats, no kids. However, I'm a writer and this magazine is wonderful. I love using it as a guide to find out what is cool and what is not cool when it comes to kids.

And yes, I will confess, I love the rebus stories and I do all of the puzzles! This is a neat gift to give as well.

absolutely the best magazine for young children

My kids (5 % 6) love Highlights. It's a real treat for them when the new issue shows up. They can read much of the magazine themselves but they still beg me over and over again to read them the stories. They race through the hidden pictures and love the brain teasers.

I subscribed to this magazine for my children and now I am subscribing to it for my grandchildren. The magazine is great but trying to get it mailed to the correct address (not the billing address) is a problem. I have now received the second issued at my home, not the home of my grandchildren. I'll try for the third time to straigten this out.

Great magazine for kids

My kids love this magazine. The only detraction is the voluminous subscription cards inserted between the pages of the stories. But the kids demand it when it is time for the latest issue to arrive, which is proof enough for me that it is a favorite around the house.

The highlight of recent trip to hospital.

Recently my family was visiting a relative in the hospital. I spotted the 60th anniversary issue of Highlights for Children. In perusing it I noted how the magazine's style and format had evolved over the years. In showing the magazine to my [...] year old daughter, I realized that Higlights appeal to children had not waned since I was a kid. My daughter simply adored it. She especially liked the riddles. She has asked us to get a subscription, which we will gladly oblige her with come Christmas.
