Great Helper 2008-06-21
For the price it is a great product. Does the job extremely well. Light and very easy to get around for those small areas. Recommended it to a neighbor and they are just as happy. Although made of lightweight plastic it seems durable. Easy to clean. Very handy. We have had ours for quite a while and use it frequently and still going strong. Would recommend it if you are looking for a small easy to use vacuum for those quick pickups or just to vacuum small areas.

Fantastic for pet hair control on hard wood floors 2008-06-18
If you have a shedding pet and hard wood floors, you should buy this right now. It has made my life easier and is an excellent value for the price. I wish I had one of these all along--it eliminates the need for sweeping, and is much more efficient.

Vacuum 2008-06-15
Suction very good, very good price especially for the quality. Only drawback is you have to plug it in and the cord isn't that long. Still very pleased. Works great on my hard wood floors in the kitchen, great for the messes small children make during the day.

Mine lasted 10 years 2008-06-11
I bought a Bissell 3105 stick vac in 1998. It appears that over time it has become the 3106A. Well it's 2008 and my stick vac has started to lose suction so I've purchased a replacement.

10 years isn't bad for a $20 vacuum! It cleans area rugs, hard wood floors, tile, etc. Mine even picks up cat litter (well it did until recently.) It's durable too, I have dropped it hundreds of times and it never broke.

I hope the new one works as well as the old one did.

Office vacuum 2008-06-09
Because the cleaning crew in my office building apparently aren't certified to operate vacuum cleaners, I wanted something for my office that was inexpensive, light, compact, easy to store and easy to use yet did more than make noise. I read carefully the previous reviews on the MANY little vacuums available. CLEARLY did not want a battery powered piece. The little Bissel seemed to be a reasonable compromise. Well sure enough, the little thing is as easy to use on a floor as a big monster, tucks away in the little box it was shipped in, and amazingly enough actually picks up dirt. Now that I've gotten the first ten layers off the carpet, I don't even have to clean the screen cup every two feet. Would have loved a power rotating brush head, but that option was three times the price; this little thing will do JUST find. Recommended HIGHLY.

Great little vacuum that's easy to use 2008-07-18
I love this vacuum because it's extremely light, small, easy to clean and powerful.

I bought it because I have two small kids who like to throw everything on the floor. It works on bare floors better than carpet, but it will pick up the big stuff off the carpet (for a quick cleanup). If you have a lot of carpet, this should NOT be your only vacuum.

It does okay on pet hair. I have a long haired cat that sheds constantly. I have to go over the hair a few times before it will come up. We have a medium-pile carpet though.

On hard floors, the vacuum slides across the floor with almost no effort on my part. Its suction is amazing (as long as the filter is clean). Plus, you never have to bend over to pick up the dirt.

It's very easy to clean. Just open it up and dump the dirt in the trash. I usually just bang the filter a few times to get the big stuff off of it. I also use a compressed gas duster to remove most of the small stuff from the filter.

The best part--it doesn't have an annoying battery that will die in a few months.

Some improvements that could be made--the power cord could be a bit longer. It also needs a place for the crevice tool to go. It doesn't attach directly to the vacuum. There are ways to attach it with stuff you have around the house. I used a wire (like the ones in those annoying toy boxes), that I loop around the cord handle and then loop it around the crevice tool.

Sweet! 2008-07-17
Wasn't too sure about this product due to its size and weight. However after reading other reviews, I decided to give it a try while it was on sale for $17.00. Got it - easy to put together and use. I was amazed how smooth it was over carpets. It definitely picked up a lot of dust off the carpet. Use it in the kitchen too where it works great on tiles/hardwood floors. My daughter who is 2 loves help out with it too. Its not a heavy duty vacuum but trust me it gets the job done in the same efficient manner!

Don't Expect Much 2008-07-15
I could deal with all of the short-comings that have been mentioned, except the dust collecting on the outside of the unit. This has to mean the dust is just coming back into the room Thank goodness it only costs $20.00. I won't go to the hassle of returning, but I will probably donate.

It picks up sufficiently, and is light.

Just fine if you can figure out a way to deal with the dust apparently coming out of the unit. :)

Suction loss 2008-07-08
Suction loss is a big problem with the Featherweight Vacuum. After 5-10 minutes of continuous vacuuming, you notice that it stops picking up dirt and hair.

You remedy the suction loss by unplugging the machine, popping open the canister, emptying it, replacing the air filter, and snapping the canister back to to the handle. In more than one instance, I had to struggle to open the canister and close it properly so that the hinges fall into place.

Literally, this is a hand vacuum with a detachable "floor attachment". This is not a true hard floor cleaner.

camper vacuum 2008-07-02
Nice compact vacuum, great for the Camper, you can take the handle off and it stores great in an RV, but not big enough for a busy house like mine. I would buy a bigger one for my house.
