Don't bother spending $400.00 for a Little Giant. 2006-02-28
This ladder is great. It has a strong construction and it's easy to set up. When folded, it doesn't require a lot of space. Excellent price too. Why spend four big ones on a Little Giant when this ladder does all the same jobs but for three hundred bucks less.

Great value for the price 2006-01-16
Exactly what I was looking for, in this price range. Perfect for getting around the house, gutters, christmas lights, and all the other various height challenged things to be done.

KNOW WHAT YOU NEED 2005-10-30
The Cosco is NOT as good as Little Giant. But if you understand that from the start, you'll be happy with the ladder.

I bought two Cosco 17 footers for less than 30 percent of the cost of two Little Giants. I use them only for temporary scaffolding, with an aluminum platform. I have safety chains on them to prevent catastrophic hinge and lock failures. And I have fall protection on them when I use them. I probably would take the same precautions with the exorbitantly-priced Little Giant. For what I need, they're just fine. If you use ladders professionally, then buy the Little Giant. Otherwise, save the $$.

So easy to use! 2005-10-16
This ladder is so versatile and easy to use. It saved me a lot of time and aggrivation while putting an addition on our home. Just a couple clicks and it either extends or folds up the ladder. My wife has even used it to paint her grandparents home. It's the only ladder we'll ever need.

Wonder Ladders - better than extension ladders 2005-09-13
I have two of these ladders, this one and another one that extends to 26ft. tall (about 6 ft in stored position) - they are EXCELLENT ladders and are great for storage. I can't recommend them enough - they can hold more than one person and are VERY sturdy. I am a bigger guy and I hate normal extension ladders, and I hate wooden ones. These are expensive but cheaper than a similarly sized fiberglass extension ladder, and take up a lot less space stored and are made of aluminum and anodized steel - so no rust even on the spring mechanism. If I had to point out a fault there are two - there are no pulley's for pulling up paing buckets, etc... - you see that on extension ladders a lot, and you have to really punch the spring mechanism hard when it is under tension. It is hard to explain, but it works with a spring and a piece of steel that lock the ladder into the chosen position ("A" ladder, Extended, etc....). Those are minor compared to the convenience gained. Oh, and another benefit - the weight distribution is much better than on a normal extension ladder - you have ot really work on an extension ladder to get it into place but with the way this flips and extends it is a LOT easier. There are some accessories you can buy that not many people know about that allow you to get a giant step as well as a place to put a bucket of paint. Putting a "aftermarket" pulley on would not be hard, but there is no place to "hook" the pulley on without tying it on or drilling an extra hole in one of the footsteps.

Better than expected 2008-05-14
Since some of the ladders were a lot more expensive, I wasn't sure how this one would be. However, I was pleasantly surprised after receiving it. Setting it up was relatively easy, and used it in a stairwell with no trouble.

Love it. Light, strong, versatile 2007-12-19
Great for apartment or townhouse use. We used it to paint a room and now have it neatly tucked away in a closet. Excellent product.

Got the Job Done 2007-11-30
This ladder is fairly light-weight considering its size and is easy to adjust. The steps can be uncomfortable to stand on without shoes, or with thin-soled shoes, because they are so narrow. When next to a wall, I've cautiously stood on the very top step. It didn't slide, even on my hardwood floors. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.

Not an extension ladder 2007-08-03
I bought this ladder (a longer version) because I needed something I could use in a stair well, and the price beat Little Giant by a long margin. As a step ladder or adjustable stair ladder I was pleased enough. Then I decided to try it out as an extension ladder. BIG MISTAKE! I had it extended the full length so I could get up to cut a branch off of a tree.
With the base of the ladder planted firmly on the ground at the proper distance away and leaning on the very large trunk, up I went. As I stood stood there (5 rungs down from the top) making my cut, I felt a shift, so I looked at the ladder. The top extension was bending and was in the process of separating from the lower section. This ladder is rated for 300 pounds and I weigh 190. I started down and the ladder shifted again throwing me off balance and as I tumbled my leg got caught and I ended up suspended upside down by my now very damaged leg. When I freed myself I saw that both the top and bottom extensions had bent and that one of the locking pins had snapped off.
No way is this safe as an extension ladder, and it should not be marketed as such.
I was lucky that I was not injured worse than the cuts and deep bruises I suffered on my leg.
I can't speak for the Little Giant or Gorilla ladders, but i suggest that you DO NOT use this ladder as an extension.

a great little ladder 2007-01-05
The cosco 20-213-T11S is the world's greatest ladder. I was able to turn in to a nice step ladder in order to change some light blubs, and then turn it into a nice extendtion ladder in order to get onto my roof to repair a leak. It was very easy to use, and I felt safe climbing on it to get on my roof. It feet gave great safety suport so that the ladder would not slip from under you.
