The storage chest was not as big as I expected, but it does hold a lot of baby toys that my 6 month old has accumulated since I found out I was pregnant. It is fine for young children, but I will have to get a bigger chest when the toys get bigger. It is lightweight, but durable. It is a great "beginner" toy box.

I just bought this, the delivery is 2-4 weeks so I am a little disappointed but I got free shipping and can't complain. My daughters have the big pink and white Little Tikes toy box for their bedroom, that one is so stuffed I needed another toy box. I bought this to keep in the living room (their Step2 Lifestyles Delux kitchen is in the living room) so I figured this would match great with that. This way we can have more toys in the living room and something easy for them to access. I am a little worried about it being too small after reading the other reviews. I will update once I receive it.

UPDATE 02/20/07 I received this only 5 days after I ordered it so I think the expected delivery is a little off. It does fit more toys than you think would fit. The inside is huge....it's great for an extra toy box but don't think you are going to fit all their toys in this toy box...just isn't going to happen. If you need a really big toy box consider Little Tikes - around the same price range I think we paid $60 for ours and it fits much more than this does. Like I said we bought this for an extra toy box in the living room so they could have some toys down stairs but it is a little on the small side.

It arrived quicker than expected and we opened the box pulled it out and we were ready to go!!Its actually capable of holding more toys than you would think.Well built and our 19 month old cant climb on top of it !!We may get another after his birthday,good price good value.

This was our son's first Christmas and after opening all the packages we realized we needed a toy box. As soon as we got it we drilled a few holes in the back, just in case. I was at first a little disappointed with it's size, the pictures are a bit misleading. But after putting a few toys in it, I realized it has a large storage capacity. I like that it is light weight, and when he is older it is a toy box I don't have to worry about him getting hurt by the lid. I also like that it as a small shelf for books.

I PLACED MY ORDER FOR THIS BOX IN OCTOBER 2006 AND RECEIVED IT ON DECEMBER 12TH 2007...I CONSIDERED CANCELLING MY ORDER AND AM VERY HAPPY THAT I WAS PATIENT AND WAITED....THIS BOX IS VERY LARGE ON THE INSIDE AND APPEARS TO BE WELL CONSTRUCTED...IT WILL STORE QUITE A LOT OF TOYS!...I'M CONSIDERING GETTING ONE AS MY LAUNDRY CHEST(BASKET)...:-)...I'M SURE OUR NEPHEW IS GOING TO LOVE THIS TOY BOX.....

We bought this for our 17 mo old daughter who's toys were everywhere. The capacity is the entire length, height, and width of the toybox itself, all of her toys fit inside. Now at 19 mo. she has started climbing onto the toybox (she thinks it's funny to scare me) the plastic is very sturdy and the top shelf is even sturdier, which also has a gritty like texture for tread for ones who like to climb. I love how the door lifts up and slides back out of the way. Only thing is, the toybox is so deep that if she tries to lean in to get a toy from the bottom, she gets stuck teetering on her belly and can't lift herself back out. However, I do not see that as a danger (supervision of course). I'm also very pleased with the rounded edges, which was THE selling point for me.

was more than I expected

Was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and was already put together. Nothing to do but take it out of the box. It also matches the kitchen set from step2 that my kids have. The lid goes up and stays up while the kids are busy taking out all the toys. Not huge but a good size for the money. I looked long and hard for the best toy box and not only did i find it but the price was a lot less then others I've seen of much lesser quality. Step2 has proven to be a product I can count on:)

I love this chest. It's a little smaller in size than my other Step 2 toy box but still deep enough to hold lots of toys. It has an attractive design and color scheme and I love the built-in shelf on top.

Durable, great for younger children....

My 1 year old daughter rec'd this toy box as a gift. It is perfect for small areas (doesn't take up near as much floor space as some of the toy boxes out there but still has a nice holding capacity). The shelf on top is terrific for those items you would like to keep handy and the door is so wonderful when you don't want to see the contents inside. The height is perfect for my daughter, she can reach in after any toy and I don't need to worry about her falling in head first. I would definately recommend this toy box to anyone.

Holds more than you think

My 18 month old son had so many toys I had run out of creative places to store them all. This toy box holds more than it looks (of course it could always be slightly larger). I was able to get about 75% of all his toys into it and still have room for him to get things out by himself. He can't climb on it yet - though he has tried. The price is better than if you went to the step 2 web site and I couldn't beat the free supersavers shipping. It also arrive much faster than predicted. I am a very happy Mom.

	Dora the Explorer Mr. Face Plush Backpack Review: My daughter is a big Dora fan and uses this backpack to carry around her favorite toys and books, which is why I gave it 5 stars for educational value. My friend's daughter has it as well, and love hers too. We've had it 6 months now and it's holding up just fine. The map opens up for an added bonus. My daughter likes to wear it and sing the backpack song from the show.
	Star Wars Episode III: Darth Vader Voice Changer Helmet Wow, do I ever wish they had this out when I was a kid! I bought it, and my wife, kids and I have all been playing with it. It has a chest box with several buttons that plays about 5 of Darth's quotes from the movies, or you can switch it to voice changer. The voice changer is fun! It has 3 different levels of depth for changing the voice. ... A must for Star Wars Geeks!!!!
