If you are buying this chair thinking that your kid can actually sit in it, then don't. This chair is for a doll. Although on the website it looks like a normal size chair for a kid to sit in, when it arrives, you will quickly find out that this is a chair for a baby doll. Make sure that you are buying a baby doll chair when you purchase this item. Again this is not a chair for your child to sit in. It is for their baby dolls.
Groovy and Great

My 5 year old daughter has a lot of the accessories and 6 of the dolls. They are terrific and exceptionally durable. I would make the purchase of these over plastic toys any day reguardless of price.

I ordered this chair for my 5 year old daughters room. When I recieved the chair I was shocked that it was actually for a doll. Now I have to return it. Who in thier right mind would pay 12.oo for a little chair.
Sorry but great for the dolls

While I am sorry that those girls were disappointed. THe parents should have looked at the details. What chair is .25 lbs that would hold a 3-8 year old. Also it come in a 6 inch box.
My daughter loves all the Groocy Girls and the accessories and furniture. This is well made as all of the other stuff and looks forward to the day that they do make a chair like this for her.

I have read 2 reviews about this chair not being listed as a doll chair, and a child purchasing one for their room. While I am sad that these girls were disappointed, I think a parent would check out the items a young child would order off of the internet. A 4 oz. chair that ships in a tiny box (as stated in the ordering info) would not be adequate to support any child.
My daughter has played with these toys at every toy store and mass merchant I have visited in the last 6 months, this is why I am comfortable ordering them online.
Also I feel that since she continues to seek them out, that she will enjoy them for a long time.

This is a toy (listed at 4 oz). It is great for the Groovy Girls and looks adorable in a our Groovy Girls house. Just the right size and style. The metal is sturdy for a toy chair.

i thought this was a chair for my grandaugter! it is for a barbie doll. the ad is misleading. unless u want a barbie doll chair dont buy it.......
A fine Groovy accessory! 2006-01-26
This chair is so cute for the Groovy Girls Dolls. They actually are able to sit in this one without flopping over like some of the others. I feel it is very unfair for this to have received 1 star ratings from poeple who didnt even read what this was for. Its a groovy girl accessory, they did not intentionally make it look like a child size chair, they took a picture of it and thats exactly what it looks like. Some people are so scary!

Though I do feel bad that girls were disappointed, I have to roll my eyes at people who don't read the WHOLE ad about the chair. Didn't the size and ship weight give you ANY kind of clue?
The chair is adorable and it's stated weight and size showed me immediately that it is for a DOLL! The chair not only fits the Groovy Girl line but several other makes too. If you are setting up a doll house for dolls in the 8-14" range, this chair is a must have!
As to the ones all in a hissy because they didn't read, perhaps, somewhere there is a Haley Joel Osment saying,
"I see dumb people.".
Not what I thought..very misconceiving 2005-09-10
I thought I was buying a chair for my 5 yr. old neice..It is only a chair that would fit a barbie size doll. Next time I will look further into the measurements, however I am very upset at the deceiving picture and ad.
