Very accurate, good quality

I bought this scale for my infant son for the peace of mind knowing he was gaining weight properly. It's been great! Very accurate and easy to use and it grows with him so i can use it until he reaches early childhood. It could also come in handy for weighing pets, even food!
Solid scale

Our daughter is a slow gainer, and we bought this scale so we could keep track of her weight during appointments. We have also "tested" it in that we have weighed her on this scale before a doctor's appointment. The scale was in sync with our doc's scale. It is very easy to use. Be aware that it does require a 9 volt battery.
We are happy with our purchase.
Great and accurate

No need to wait until PD visit to know my baby's weight. As a first time mom, I want to know my baby's weight almost every day. It's a good purchase, and it can convert to toddler scale later. It is a very cute design as well.
put our minds at ease

God, what a life-saver and de-stresser! Our breast-fed infant was gaining weight slowly, and 2-3 doctors all had diff. weights and opinions. Finally, we bought this scale, and I can easily and accurately weigh her, how much she eats per feeding (per breast even). It helps me gauge what I need to do to help my milk supply and also to monitor her weight. Now she's fine on the growth chart. Since breastfeeding moms have no x-ray vision, this is a HUGE HELP!!!!!

My son has a birth defect that requires frequent trips to the doctor about once a week. With this scale I was able to eliminate the need for 10 at home nurse visits which was just to weigh him. I'm not saying that a nurse visit isn't ever useful, but in our case it wasn't necessary. The scale more than paid for itself and gave us peace of mind that our son was gaining weight at a normal pace. The scale is accurate like they say to the 1/2 oz, and seemed to be almost an exact match up with our doctor's scale. Would buy again- thanks, Amazon.com!
Nice product

I think that the scale is nice but I have found that each time I weigh my baby the scale is different by a couple of ounces. Otherwise, to get a general idea of a baby's weight I would use this product
Saltier 914 baby scale

I bought this scale to weigh my cats as I have one that is 14 lbs and should be about 8 lbs (adopted her at that weight). I also have 5 others that I want to monitor their weight to keep them healthy. The cats are pretty good at staying on the scale and it registers quickly to get a weight; some of them love to lay in it. It appears to be very accurate as the weight did not fluctuate when I weighed them several times. I have only had it about 2 months and only use it about once a month so cannot attest to its long-term reliability but it seems like a good product to me. Since a half a pound is a big deal to a cat, I wanted something to give me ounces and be accurate and it seems to do both.
Excellent choice for underweight baby
2008-07-09
Our one-year-old has "failure to thrive" (is underweight), and it was
driving me crazy to wonder if we would have good/bad news when we went to
the doctor to check his weight gain. Also, I needed a way to record how
many ounces of milk he gets from me when he nurses.
After reading the reviews here, I bought this scale, and I agree that it
seems very accurate for the money.
The scale comes almost assembled, but you do have to attach the baby tray
if you will be using it in that mode (or attach rubber plugs if you will
be using it in toddler mode). It requires one 9V battery, not included.
The scale's operation is very intuitive, and there is also a clear
instruction booklet. The materials seem mostly sturdy, but I did
subtract a star because it could have been less rough/plastic looking
if they had made the baby tray of the same chunky-looking style of
plastic, or something padded, as they made the toddler scale part.
The accuracy of the scale seems fine. I tested it with some household
objects with stated weights. For instance, I weighed a "4 oz (112 g)"
applesauce cup, and it came out as 4.5 oz and 120 g. This might even
be more accurate than promised (1/2 ounce) because of the weight of the
cup, which I doubt is included in the manufacturer's weight claim.
I have not yet had a chance to compare my son's weight at home with his
weight on the same day at the doctor's office, but I did do it within
one day, and the weights were within two ounces, which seems like it
could be a normal fluctuation due to how much water he'd drunk, etc.
My baby likes to sit in the tray, so it must be fairly comfortable. :)

LOVE IT!

I looooove this scale. I'm a third time mom and still have worries about how breastfeeding is going. This scale completely puts my mind at ease! I don't use it to find out how much the baby has eaten in a given feeding because the scale is not accurate for that. However, I weight my baby every morning to make sure that he's gaining an ounce a day and he is! It just makes me more confident that breastfeeding is going the way it should. I would recommend this scale to any breastfeeding mom to give her the confidence she needs to successfully breastfeed her newborn!
Used to weigh puppies

The scale seems to do its job. It gives me a much larger area than my past scale to hold puppies. It does a pretty good job of getting the weight with a puppy squirming around. I'm sure it would work great for a child.
