This game is really fun no matter how old you are! Even my 13 year old friend couldn't put the controler down! The graphics are very specific, making the game a pleasure to play. Plus, both Barbie and her horse can be made over just the way you like. Almost everything about them can be changed. Also, the action both on the trail and in the stable keep the player addicted. If you're a first timer to Barbie games, I would probably suggest this one. It's also available for PC, Gameboy SP, and Xbox. The story is different on each game (except Xbox) so it's really fun to play them all. If you decide to buy this game, you will definatly be pleased! ;)
Can't buy a horse for you girl? Get this game instead!

My seven year old daughter loves this PC game. We have oodles of PC games and this is at the top of her list. She isn't even a Barbie doll fan. She has a couple of the dolls but never ever plays with them. This game is about the horses and the mystery that needs to be solved. She could play it for hours if I let her. Which of course being the responsible mother I don't.
Players get to be mystery solving sleuths when they need to find the disappearing horse before the big riding competion gets started. Girls(I am assuming a boy wouldn't be interested in this game, but I could be wrong) start off preparing their horse. This alone can take forever. My daughter loves picking out her chosen horse colors, mane, saddle, and then Barbie's riding attire as well. In my daughter's words it's just so hard to choose.
Then there is the brushing and care of the horse such as feeding and exercise. They can sharpen their riding skills by practicing at the riding ring by trotting, herding and jumping.
The clues to find Teresa horse are hidden around in the abandoned campsite, an old town, a cave and other fun places. Along the way during the adventure their are fun games to play to obtain items they might need later during the game.
So if you can't get a horse or riding lessons aren't feasible this just might appease your horse loving girl for a while.
The game rated E for everyone. The recommened age is five and up. I would say 5 to about 10 would the age range. Could be older. A game well worth the money.
Great game

One of the reveiws needed help. The key is not in any of the chests. You have to open all the chests... and then the key is near the gate you have to open. It's not hard! i have a finished this game. It takes a long time to beat but it is fairly easy... to me. I am nine years old and like this game alot. It's not worth five stars because it is so easy. Also younger kids will need alot of help. My five year old cousin LOVES!!! this game but always needs help. And guess who has to help her..... ME! I hate hate the loading part. It takes forever. Once my game was blocked idk why but it was. I had to start all over! ( i was so far). I wish catching horses was harder. What's the point catching horses is so easy it's boring! My favorite levels are the snowy mountains. They are the hardest. The beach though is confusing because there are tons of ways to go. Left right straight back it's so confusing! After you rescue a foal you never see that foal again. Foals are so cute. This is a girls game but I am not a girly girl ( or a ton boy in the middle). I never feed any of the apples to the animals only if I have to if I want to rescue a foal. It's so so so sofunny when she falls off her horse! BArbie falls right on her back! Warning this game will get boring at times but it still is a great game. I hate that Barbie can't wear her hair down! People who made this you have bad fashion tastes! Just joking in horsseback riding you need your hair back ( i ride western). This is a game that you need to love horses and have good clothe taste. Just joking it doesn't matter. This game rocks. BUY IT AND YOU WON'T BE DISSOPOINTED!
THE MAZE AT THE END

Too easy

Gallop the trails with Barbie as you search for and rescue wild horses missing from the stables! Get ready for your adventure by choosing your horse, riding tack and an outfit for Barbie. Then, ride through ten beautiful areas, jumping over fallen trees, crossing rickety bridges and more! You can even help Barbie dismount her horse and explore trails on foot. Finally, chase the horses, lasso them and return them to safety! BARBIE and associated trademarks and trade dress are owned by, and
A great game for children

This is a 5 star video game for children. I highly recommend it.
Someone please help me!

I've played the game, and even though it's easy and for kids I bought it anyway ($5, can't beat that). The thing I need help with is when you finally do find all the foals and can go through the gate into the Silver Valley Stables Gardens, where is the key to unlock the gate past all the skunks. I've opened all the chests, looked in the shed, and the water. I Can't find it ANYWHERE. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
Barbie Horse Adventure

This game is really awesome for my 4 yrs. old daughter. She love playing this game. This game is about Barbie helped to rescue the horses in each level. The graphics are great and Barbie would ride around facing some obsticles as she goes to find the missing horses in each level of the game.
I highly recommend this game to any young girls who especially loves horses and imagine themself riding through the trails. My daughter love this game so much that she's hoping for another kind of Barbie games like it.
Mindless fun for a while...no learning benefit
2006-05-24
This game is basically based upon mindless fun. The only thing to learn is the controls of the game, then you just ride around for a few hours and rescue foals and horses. So, it's fun for a while if you simply want to relax and not think. But if you want your kids to actually learn something while they're ruining their eyes infront of the TV, I'd buy a different game.
Now onto the horse critique...
Havas Interactive actually did an amazing job with the horses. Sure, their conformation may not be perfect, but they DO have all the true movments of a real horse. Someone said they only canter and gallop, but they're wrong. The horses can walk, trot, canter, and gallop (I would know, I own a horse in real life)
if you use the right controls. And the horses rear, preform a turn on the haunches, halt, and back up.
I suppose this is a pretty good barbie game, but Havas Interactive really should give kids 7+ (recommened playing age on case) more credit, they aren't stupid...and they only supplied about two puzzles in the game (making your way through a VERY simple maze to get a foal, etc)
