NOT too good to be true

This product proved to be as effective as described. I couldn't believe how well it worked and how fast. Within 24 hours we were able to stop dousing ourselves with insect repellant and were just able to go outside in our wooded backyard and enjoy our patio, trampoline and other outdoor living space. I also liked it because it gave us the opportunity to use a pet friendly solution to our mosquito problem.

SpringStar - Mosquito Trap. An Amazing product!! It REALLY Works. I have two placed approximately 20 feet away from each end of my patio. Here in the Mid-west the mosquito problem is "biting" particularly this year with the rains. NO MOSQUITOS with this product. My neighbors were chased inside at dusk by the mosquitos - now evenings are spent on my deck - mosquito free. DO carefully follow the instructions and I suspect they work best when use begins with the first sighting of mosquitos. AND it is environmentally safe.

Not a mosquito

I put this out in my yard around may 28 and haven't caught one mosquito yet. Although they are all over me and my husband (and baby), even to the point we can't go outside for any period of time, none of them have seemed to be able to find this trap. I'm very disappointed.

Mosquito BREEDER, more like!

I have a propane-driven mosquito trap, and while I'm very pleased with its performance I was hoping to stop filling the propane tank every month or so. I saw this product reviewed on Kevin Kelly's Cool Tools (usually a reliable source) and ordered it. I followed the enclosed instructions to the letter.

We've gone years with a drastically reduced mosquito population, thanks to the propane engine. In *one month*, there's been an incredible surge. I see bugs caught inside, but I see THOUSANDS biting me outside!

Utterly worthless and counter-productive. Perhaps Florida mosquitoes are too smart for it?

Pesticide-Free Products Work Great

I got tired of putting pesticides on my yard and in my house. I found SpringStar, and all I can say is that the stuff works. Bugs are either dead or gone, and no pesticides.

Uses a mosquito egg pheromone which mosquitoes use to mark special egg-laying places. This locator biochemical draws mosquitoes into the trap, but they cannot find the exit and will eventually tire and drown in the liquid. Traps are re-useable, non-toxic, and safe for the environment. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

I have used the yellowjacket trap these guys make, and it works really well, so I thought I would give this a try. Works great, I put it in my backyard to keep them off my patio. Took a couple of days to start, I think the pheromone pill had to disolve, but anyway, once it started, it gets going! It has been two weeks and it is still catching them. It is kind of creepy because you see them flying around the inside of the jar, but it's a good creepy !?! :)
