My Son Loves This Game
2006-12-14
My son plays this game at school and loves it. He rates it 5 stars.
Great math game!

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter, whose weakest subject is math. She LOVES this game and will literally play it for hours. It consists of all kinds of different math games that you can play at three different levels of difficulty. I am just VERY pleased with this game. Suddenly math is FUN for my daughter!
Really Educational and Really Fun
2005-10-09
My six-year-old daughter, who just started first grade, was completely engaged playing this game. It has a nice layout to explore, lots of activities, and it adapts to a range of skill levels. It was challenging enough to be interesting but not too hard to "win" and save the day for the city. I would give it five stars if only the arcade games were playable -- they were much too hard for my daughter. But she didn't seem to mind, since she really enjoyed everything else.
It's Just "Okay"
2005-02-28
There are not many good options in software for children, so that this at least rates as okay is something. It is educational for sure and definitely teaches math and grouping of sets for faster counting, money values, etc. But it could be more appealing for a 5-year old boy.
Other options to consider are the clue-finding, problem solving computer games of Myst (my son loves working on these with mom and dad); and the Leapster computer with K-1 cartridge. The Leapster is similar in that you must go around and complete educational tasks and earn tokens for doing the fun stuff. And the fun stuff is fun and rewarding. Yet the fun reward stuff in Math Missions is only 3 arcade style games that are not that special or interesting. Also, they are timed and go so fast that a 5-year old who isn't used to video games has a lot of difficulty. My son enjoys the math educational portion way more than the fun stuff so that the reward is not very enticing.
Highly Motivating Learning Tool!

I was impressed with the animation and graphics for this game and even more so the storyline and tasks that motivate kids to want to reach the goal - doing every task in the "city" (to help the merchants with math) so the arcade can open and the player can spend the money he or she has "earned" to play games. My daughter(5 yrs.)is so hooked and her math skills really improved. You can even track your child's progress. My only criticism is that it was a tad bit hard to navigate and figure out how close to the goal she was.
Great game for the kids!

This game is better than I expected. It has a story line and various shops you can enter and games challenging for my 1st grader. I would recommend for any parent as an alternative to just having your child surf the net on disney or nickelodeon.
Good for kids

this is a very exciting games for kids. IT gives them goals for the games so that they not only succeed in the game, but they also succeed in math. Very happy with this product.
A Great Tutor For My Children
2008-05-19
I have 3 children ages 10, 7, and 5. All 3 can learn from this. They love to play it because they learn while they play. I tried it out with them and really liked it. It's a great game to teach them or refresh their memory.
Great Software!

It's a great learning experience and really gets the kids interactive and it's amazing how much math and concepts they get in real worl dapplications just from playing this game! I would recommend this to anyone who wants their children to learn math and be ahead of their class! It gives your kids confidence to be the best at math in their class!
good challenge software

We have Disney kindergarten and jumpstart kintergardern and found it is too easy for my 33 months old very advanced boy. This one seems just right. Some activities he can easily complete by himself like the geometry and animal sorting. Some activity he has to think, like times and money and some activities he really need my help. I thought this just perfect. Give him challenge without total frustration
