An Expensive Piece of Defective Plastic 2007-04-20
The camera package seemed to have opened before when it came. Plus the camera itself is dirty and doesn't look brand new. The camera is indeed a piece of junk plastic as some other users said. Colorsplash is a fun camera to play with and it produces artistic. But only buy it if you have too much money to waste. Consider buying a Holga if you want a better and cheaper lomo and don't mind shooting 120.

So much fun! 2007-03-19
I got this camera for my friend for her birthday about a month ago. We have had so much fun with it ever since. It takes the coolest photos. I have and Oktomat and a Holga which I love, but this one is fun for taking out on the town or to a bar. It's unique look is also a good ice-breaker/conversation starter. I'm back on Amazon to get one for myself!

fun purchase 2007-03-13
Very nice camera overall. I've had it for a month and I have not had any problems with it. I love it.

Wonderful Camera! 2007-03-12
The camera is cute and very easy to set-up; definately worth it.
Came in the mail quickly and cute packaging, too!

Pleasantly Surprised 2007-01-10
I bought this camera with some cash I got for Christmas, because I wanted a small fun 35mm to carry around, but I didnt want a Holga and the Horizon Kompakt or Perfekts were too expensive. My other cameras are high end professionals (Nikon F1, Mamyia C33 and Mamyia RB), and never really got around to experimenting with cross processing and color gels, so I thought this camera would be appropriate for lo fi fun.

After reading the reviews on here, it seemed like most complained about the cheapness of the camera, found it inoperable upon delivery, broke parts, etc. Folks, Im not sure what you were expecting, or know the other types of cameras that Lomo produces, but they are CHEAP TOY CAMERAS. They are not meant to be high quality photo wonders. They are meant to be simple, have light leaks, take weird, interesting photos and thats it.

I was almost expecting a total piece of crap after reading the other reviews, but i was more than happy with the quality of this little camera. When held, it feels solid. The little winder does feel a bit cheap, but this is to be expected. The color gels are easy to change out (I can use my stubby fingernail to get the door off), but dont expect to be able to do it on the fly. It does take a small amount of tinkering.

It came in a really unique packaging system that can be kept to store the camera and its documentation over and over, and is great if you travel alot or are moving. The unique 3 piece protective cover for the camera is an ugly teal and forest green concoction, but it fits the camera well and black vinyl spray paint from the auto parts store will fix that easily (the stuff lasts a lifetime). Im excited to see how the pictures turn out.

Expect a fun to use and fun to look at camera to take with you on your daily excursions, and then upload them to the lomography.com website to share!

splish splash! 2008-03-02
This is my third lomo camera and surely not my last.I liked the retro appeal of it and when is color ever a bad thing, right?it comes with its own camera and batteries and also some color filter, though some of the filters are the same just a shade different. The only things i don't like about this camera is that you can only have 4 colors on the color wheel,2 of which you can't change and also if you want a filter over the lens itself, then you have to tape it on which is kind of ghetto. The film advancer wheel is also annoying because it's hard to turn and hurts your finger.Overall the pictures come out really good but i prefer using it at night because of the effects you can create from surrounding lights.I recommend buying this camera as long as you can handle it's few annoying quirks.

SUPER FUN CAMERA 2007-08-06
easy for anyone to use and it takes the coolest pictures. you might only get excited by half your roll but once you get the hang of it, you'll know what makes the best pictures. tip: turn the color flash between two colors to get a mix

Colorsplash 2007-06-14
The camera takes cool pictures and is fun to mess around with but it's just a little cheap. I think that they should take more time to make a better quality camera, not one that you are scared to touch for fear of it breaking. All that aside, again this camera does take fun pictures that turn out well.

very cooooool. 2007-05-12
cool camera but i don't see why it has to be so expensive. You're pretty much paying for the color filters and a funky shaped camera. ah lomo, you're so greedy.

Great invention in photography. 2007-05-07
Its incredibly fun to shoot with this little thing, it feels really cheap, and is really cheap, yet its worth the money. Just be very delicate with the flash wheel when turning it and definitely don't let it drop as this results in instant death of the camera. The flash filters vary in intensity (red is too bright, blue hardly does anything) but this camera definitely flourishes at nighttime. Its really cool doing a long exposure with a flash at the end, there are plenty of cool tricks you can do with this camera that you can't do with others. I think the main strong point of this camera is that the flash goes off at the end of the shot rather than at the beginning, plus the colors make any shot interesting. Here are some samples I've taken with it.

In a couple of hundred pages, it includes using a scanner and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 to rescue faded, damaged family photos, the basic guidelines to good picture taking, how to use Elements 2 to improve your digital photos, and how to print and preserve your pictures for the ages. White, the author of the bestseller "How Computers Work," knows how to pack a lot of helpful, understandable information in a brief no nonsense book.

Review: "This Camera is one of the best in its price range. It takes beautiful clear pictures and can be used right out of the box, but its worth learning all its features. The included memory holds about 20-25 pictures so I upgraded to 128mb. I reccomend getting a 128mb card and the Sony camera case. Not only is this one of the best cameras in its class it includes decent software and rechargeable batteries that are at least a 20$ value.
HIGHLY reccomend over canon, kodak, and fuji. One more thing this camera has CARL Zeiss lens (if you dont know, great lens) all the competetors have generic lens."

The fact is a camera’s megapixel rating is only a measure of how many pixels (photosensitive sites) an image sensor has…. An image sensor is simply one component of an entire system that produces a digital photograph… So resist buying into the megapixel hype when you’re choosing a digital camera. From Chapter 1
