Editorial Review
The 109-key Apple Keyboard features full-size cursor keys perfect for zipping up, down and sideways in a game or on a spreadsheet. Special keys provide immediate access to the system audio level (volume up, down, mute) as well as ejecting media from the Mac optical drive. Additionally, 16 full-size function keys give applications plenty of ways to provide short cuts to common tasks. The Apple Keyboard also comes with additional full-sized keys for Page Up and Down, Home and End, Insert and forward Delete.

Mediocre keyboard, expensive lint tray 2008-06-14
I don't own one of these, thank goodness. But after having freelanced at several places that use this keyboard, I noticed that they do not age well. For starters, certain keys become slightly misaligned with repeated use, and cannot be depressed swiftly. This problem is particularly apparent with the left Command key. Anyone who uses key shortcuts will be frustrated when the Command fails to work (e.g. instead of selecting all the copy in a text box, an 'a' will have been inserted).

There is also no covering over the areas between the sets of keys so any dust or debris that falls over the keyboard is 100% guaranteed to fall to the bottom, where it will collect and display clearly through the transparent edges. After a few months, what you get is a keyboard that causes inadvertant typos, while looking like it needs a bath.

Fortunately, these have been discontinued. Just don't go buying one now!

Not as expected from X-Travaganza USA 2008-06-11
Received a lightly used non USA keyboard of the later white design that used USB ports in the rear and no height adjustment. This did not match the accompanying image. At $72.95 I was expecting USA and new.

after 4 years and 9 month 2008-01-01
My keyboard came with thee iMac in March 2003. Just about a month ago it started skipping and extra spacing. Cleaning is not an option since the unit is sealed so I am looking for a new one. Maybe 4 1/2 years is not a bad time? What I did not like about this board was that there where no instructions with it that meant discover as you go. This is my main reason why I am going to try a different board.

Apple - of the Road Variety 2007-11-14
I got this keyboard with my tower mac. It worked great for about six months. Now it's a large white turd that takes up my valued space time existence. In desperation before my new board arrived I had to cut and paste letters to alter a flyer that I needed to put out. Luckily the 5,6,7,8 and 9 keys worked along the right side. Gosh, maybe I've been too harsh on this poor little creature. No....actually it's a big white turd. Apple wisely discontinued it a couple months ago.

Water Killed It - Glad to See It Go 2007-11-13
This keyboard comes with an eMac and looks great.
A little water from my daughter, numerous disassemblies and cleanings and it still doesn't work right. Still, I'm looking forward to a better keyboard. Read other reviews and you'll see comments on the mushiness and inaccurate keying of this keyboard. Believe them. How can a reviewer give anything more than 2 stars to a keyboard which facilitates wrong keystrokes. To me you have to get the basics right. Classic drawback of the keyboard is you type a word and one of the letters is missing.
So, two stars and I hope to find a much better keyboard than this one.

Decent-- HAVE TO REPLACE IT EVERY YEAR. 2007-10-30

Awesome 2007-10-10
I love this keyboard, the keels have a soft feel and the glass look of it is very unique. I spilled water on my old one and had to look hard to find this model since Mac made a different keyboard for their new line of PC's. I just love this board, no gripes at all.

Not Happy! 2007-08-08
I ordered one of these keyboards, but had to return it for an exchange. The second keyboard has the same problem as the first: No matter how I set the preferences, I get double letters when I am typing. Since I type with the hunt & peck method, I usually have to go backk and clean up a paragraph or so. I hhave tested this on mmyy wife's keybooard, and I hhave no troouble wiith double letters on her's. I will replace this keyboard, but am not sure where I will shop. I have purposely not cleaned up the double letters in this review.

Quality and condition of keyboard 2007-07-12
The keyboard was in the condition that was promised and we are very happy with the product.

The M7803 Apple Pro Keyboard was much better 2007-06-26
The biggest problem with this keyboard is that key travel is not smooth. Over time, you will notice more and more friction as you type, resulting in numerous typos as well as untyped letters.

I have reverted to a G4 style M7803.

Edit: I've replaced my G4 style keyboard with the new ultra thin USB keyboard. The new keyboard is very good.
