RN46-1 Roofing Nailer

Nailer worked well and saved time on my first roofing project- about 1200 sq ft.
Great Roofer!

Recently bought this to re-roof our house. My wife used it for 12 straight hours with absolutely no problems! Very light with flawless operation. She had never TOUCHED an air nailer of any kind (claimed she was afraid) before this one, yet actually had fun with it!! I'm sure she could have gone longer if we didn't run out of roof! She wouldn't let me use it. The few times I was able to pry it from her hands I found it very comfortable to use. I've used several coil roofers in the past, this is the best I've held. Very light.
Overall, excellent gun for a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

An excellent reconditioned nail gun. No misfires in 400+ nails.
The gun looked brand new upon arrival.
Worth the price tag

I am a carpenter by trade but do all aspects of home building from frame to finish as well as remodeling work. I've used this gun for about 80sq with little problems, the occasional proud nail or the nail coil gets bent in my tool bag causeing a jam are about it. I too have used this gun on Hardiplank siding (as someone else mentioned), i must admit though it is not as consistent on cement board as it is on shingles. But a time saver nuntheless. If i ever pitch this one off a roof, i'll buy another.

I had an excellent experience with this tool. I'm not a contractor, but I put on a 15 square 7x12 roof with it and had no problems. The only issue I had was that the instructions referenced a safety, but I could not figure out how to turn it on.
I don't know how well this gun would stand up to "52 week a year" use, but it did a great job for my purposes.
Great!

There isn't much to write. I have received the product to do a roofing job that is scheduled, but not begun. So I cannot comment on the performance. However, the ordering process was great.
Thanks

This product is what I expected and I am very happy with the service, delivery, and price that I received. With the vinyl siding attachment it will perform as a dual nailer.
Love It

Have had and used it 6 months now and love it to death. It does through the occasional double but not too often. I have bought the vinyl siding adapter and am going to try it this summer.
I am roofer man and I can roof anything...

I work in interior & exterior home improvement in the Jersey Shore area... I bought a couple of the Bostitch RN46 roofing guns reconditioned on ebay >:> hehee about a year ago for $150.00 each... I use them from time to time on small projects like home & garge addition roofs and some small shed re-roofs etc... these guns are very lightweight and easy to use... the quick ajust depth setting knob on the gun is a great asset to have so you don't have to go up & down the ladder to fiddle with the air compressor psi gauge... I've seen a couple of bad reviews on this gun... they could have bought lemons or may have tried to use other types/brands of nails that have the plastic or metal coating connectors that don't jive with this gun and that could have caused the gun to jam and misfire maybe too??... to avoid any hassles make sure you buy the right roofing nails to match this gun!.. I've had these guns for about a year now and never had any problems yet... so good luck to all and go nutz!
one of the best guns out there

i don't know why everybody is calling this nailer junk. I bought mine two years ago and have shingled approximately 200 roofs with it. I have only had one nail jam and a few hang up but that was all in one coil of nails and it was an old coil where the wires had corroded. I also have had no trouble what so ever, I am thinking it is about time for new O rings but it still works like the day i bought it. I tell everybody that askes me to get this nailer.
