Editorial Review
The Ultima Series of PC cables from Cables To Go combines style, quality, performance and value, while giving you the ultimate in cable technology. The sleek design of the molded connectors makes them easy to grip. The connectors are color coded to match the ports on your personal computer or notebook, ensuring a simple connection. The charcoal gray cable jacket not only matches your case but disappears behind your desk leaving a clean organized look. Constructed with UL tested and certified cable, the Ultima Series meets the rigid standards of everyday use. The cable is double-shielded with a dual foil and braid. Copper foil wraps the undermold, while a 360-degree solder-to-connector shell and cable braid create an end-to-end shielding solution for a noise-free connection.

a way to split your computer image 2008-07-13
I purchased the cord to split the computer at work to provide access for a monitor on my desk and a media projector in the room. The split works great, provided you have both the monitor and the projector connected at all times. The screen behaved irregularly when I disconnected the media projector, which was not ceiling mounted. The main computer screen displayed a double blurred image when only one of the split connectors was used. I had not heard of or anticipated this problem. I reconnected the media projector cable and the double monitor blurr image went away. The cord itself is heavy duty and the connectors are finger friendly for the most part... You have to do a lot of twisting to connect, but there are grooves to accomodate a screw driver, if you wish....

Poorly manufactured 2008-05-02
The connector on thje end which secures into the monitor had no preformed screw holes to accomadate a jewlers screwdriver to secure it. Additionally, one computer would bleed off the monitor even when not turned on.decreasing the monitors resolution.

Does what it does 2007-02-11
It works well splits the image in two and use the lowest resolution possible.

Does exactly what it's suppose to do 2007-01-05
Splits the video signal and does a good job. Of cause there will be image quality issues, since there is no electronic filtering and signal boosting components involved.
If you after the quality image, buy a video card with two outputs, they are cheap this days. If you need a quick "hack" this will do.

Does the job poorly. 2005-03-10
Buyer beware that images will lose about 1/2 their brightness when splitting them to two monitors, and if one cable is much longer than the other (I had one 25' and one 6' cable to the Y-splitter), the signal will bounce in the cable and produce really ugly ghosting of edges in the image.
