This item is very well made and heavy duty. Large enough to can or cook almost anything and very easy to use. Very pleased with my purchase.

Awesome product. It's nice to finally have a canner again with an actual guage on it. Let's you know exactly what the pressure is so you can agjust it.
HUGE canner

Plenty deep enough for Quarts. Looks like it will fit 6-7 quart jars. I used it on a gas stove, it was WAY bigger than the burner and took a long time to heat up. The weight appeared to be 15 pounds pressure, not 10, so that took just a bit longer as well.
Product worked as advertised. Pricing was about the same as buying it local, after adding shipping costs in. Would be nice to have some kind of cleaner to get the water marks off, inside looks water stained after only a few uses.
I finally found one

I purchased the Presto pressurized canner for my step-daughter for Christmas because this year she had a big garden & next year's will be larger & she mention she would like to have a pressure canner. I am sure that she will get many years of use from it. I am just so glad that I was able to find one through Amazon.com they are a hard product to find.
Pressure Canner

First pressure canner we ever had. Worked really great and much faster than water bath method. We had a very good tomato crop this year, canned whole tomatoes, tomato sauce and salsa. We pressure canned the hole tomatoes and sauce but used the hot water method with the salsa. This canner worked great for both methods.
It works! No complaints

Where have you been?

Large enough for the Saturday afternoon canning marathons. Easy to read gauge. Takes a while to come up to temperature, but its aluminum, I use a flat top electric stove, and it's HUGE. If you're pressure canning, definitely give this a go.
works great!

thank you so much for a quick delivery it is canning season and I expected a wait, no so the item came within a couple of days! This is a top notch product I have used it a number of times and no complaints
Great pressure cooker - but it's BIG
2008-09-03
This is probably more pressure cooker than most people need, but it works wonderfully. The gauge on top is exremely useful to monitor precise temp for canning and such. The only drawback is its size. It barely fit on my stove under the microwave. Be sure and measure before you buy.
It is not your mother's pressure canner!
2008-09-02
I love this pressure canner, it isn't the canner that my mother had. There are no worries that this will accidently explode on you, this canner is completely save with it's unique safety features. This canner hasn't been off my stove since the start of canning season. This is a very heavy gauge metal and will last for many years to come.
The manual contained instructions for the slight assembly required and several recipes. So far I have made jelly, jams, canned pate, crushed tomatoes, marina sauce, and spaghetti sauce with meat, relish, and pickles. This has done a fantastic job each time. You can stack a ton of jars in this pressure canner so you don't have to do just a few jars at a time.
This will be a canner that I know will be the last one that I will ever need. It is safe with two over pressure releases. I love this canner and look forward to many years of service along with many tasty meals.
