Love it!

I got this for a mother's day gift a month ago and love it. It's so light and more powerful than I thought it would be. I'm used to a fairly heavy gas powered machine that is very powerful, but this one holds its own. Very convenient for our deck and walkways around the house. I'm very pleased with it.

Great for sweeping hard surfaces

The first one I purchased was defective. Amazon issued a RA immediately and shipped out a replacement. The second one works perfectly. It won't replace your gas leaf blower, but does a great job on patios and driveways.

FLAWED DESIGN BUT GOOD PERFORMANCE

Apparently the resident idiots bean-counter and word-twister at TORO got their heads together and decided to leave the plug-in pigtail off this machine for "product liability" reasons. So what you have is a plug receptacle recessed into hard plastic that is absolutely certain to break in time.

The performance is very good but I would never buy this machine or recommend it because of the design flaw in the plug-in receptacle.

You'd be well advised to go with one of the slightly higher priced TORO models that does have a pigtail plug.

I have only used the blower a few times thus far and it appears that I will be happy with the product for the purpose of which I purchased it. I will say that I am not blowing leaves with it so I cannot give much opinion concerning that. It has all the power I require for the job it needs to perform and is not too bad for noise level which is important since its used indoors only in my application, if all continues to work well I will purchase more as this was used on a prototype machine and I will be manufacturing many more. In conclusion, I would have to say if it ends up being the model and brand I stay with then it is a decent buy for the money.

this thing is ridiculously powerful. this beast does a fantastic job of blowing my leaves onto my neighbors yard! and it's quiet enough to do it while they are home!

This Toro Power Blower works great. This is the first blower I have ever own. Truthfully, I never thought much about blowers before. It never made sense to me to blow leaves and debris from one spot to another spot just a few feet or yards away instead of gathering up the trash with a bloom and shovel and dumping it in a trash can. But when I got my Toro at a really great Amazon.com price, I found several good uses for it that made my outdoor gardening chores just a little bit easier. To recap; this Toro Electric Blower is a great piece of equipment, it's light, powerful, and easy to use. P.R., Fort Worth, TX

The last leaf blower my husband purchased for me was very heavy because it had all the bells and whistles that I really didn't use. He's a great guy, but send him to the store and he buys the best and the biggest. All I wanted was a good brand like Toro that was light weight so that it did not hurt my arms and hands (I have arthritis). This Toro Power Sweep was perfect for my needs.

Amazon shipping is outstanding. The communication on the web order status is excellent. The product is acceptable for small / light jobs. An opportunity area would be a nofication that the power cord needs to be purchased seperately. Otherwise, I'm satisified.

Light Weight Toro Blower

The Toro Power Sweep Electric Blower #51587 is so light weight and quiet that it is wonderful for us older women (70). It is easy to handle and blows off the deck better than trying to sweep, getting into corners and on the stairs. It also works great on cobwebs.
